Major league hypocrisy…
When George Stephanopoulos led Brian Ross into the whole Tea Party connection to the Aurora shooter, my initial reaction was one of nonchalance. We’ve heard this all before. We know Stephanopoulos is political hack from way back, and in spite of Ross’s journalistic credentials, he too is a flaming Lefty. So why then am I so irritated?
I think it’s more having to do with the stark contrasts between Tea Party folks and Occupy folks, along with the hypocrisy of some in the media when reporting about them. On the one hand you have a group of people who espouse smaller government, fiscal accountability on the part of their representatives, and who for all intents and purposes generally stay away from social issues. To be quite candid, Tea Party types do tend to be more Conservative in their respective views on things like gun control and religion. Having said that, what about the Occupy folks?
Violence, rape and even murder at their rally’s, which are permeated by calls for anarchy, and hate speech so vile and inappropriate, I simply won’t re-print it here. Oh, and did I mention the millions of dollars in vandalism to include participants defecating on police patrol vehicles.
Now I ask you, if you were to somehow make a connection between the Colorado shooter and a political organization, which one of the above would you choose.
Ultimately, it was a foolish play for which ABC ended up having to apologize. This tragedy will likely end up being the case of a deranged killer, with loyalties only to his own selfish and twisted world, who murdered those innocent movie-goers in cold blood, and who should receive a death sentence himself. It is just shameful though, that the “Lamestream Media” would politicize an event like this in such cowardly and cheap fashion. Shame…
“Occupy” your mind with facts…
Mitt Romney was speaking as a guest of former NY City Mayor Rudy Giuliani at a city fire station today, to honor the memory of 11 first responders from that dispatch who lost their lives on 9/11. While he was speaking, a female heckler 
began shouting “Mitt Romney you’re a racist” (laced with numerous “F” bombs), repeatedly and before apparently being led away by police. Now while I feel I understand the First Amendment and what it represents, and while I thought Governor Romney was gracious and polite in not engaging the disrespectful heckler, the moment did make me reflect a bit. It made me realize how in some cases it falls to “We the Pundits” to try and clarify in some cases what is actually “free speech” and what is anarchist psychobabble intended only to disrupt and disenfranchise anyone not in line with the particular message of the purveyor. In this case, it sounded like a young and ignorant “occupier”, incapable of any legitimate or intellectual exchange, and devoid of enough life’s experience to render her thought process at that moment, foolish at best. Moreover and unfortunately, she and her cohorts have chosen a day which marks the celebration of a failed ideology responsible for the enslavement and murder of millions of innocents, to make their case for the so-called 1%. Typical… We are truly living in pivotal times.

Really?
It should come as no surprise that our eight year olds are being indoctrinated as opposed to educated within the public school system today. The topics more closely resemble brawls I had with some of my professors of “higher” Ed back in the day. Fact is, the extraordinary influence of the (Teachers Unions) is undeniable and has been chronicled across the country over the last decade or so. I am personally compelled to monitor my son’s education in ways I frankly would not have imagined were necessary just a generation ago. As a result I struggle every day with the cost of private schooling as an alternative, but remain on the sidelines as my boy has grown attached to friends and location.
Anyway, it still irks me when I hear some disingenuous bureaucrat spouting off about this controversy surrounding a song, allegedly written and performed by some little ones about the “occupy protests”. Now I may be a bit out of touch, but the topic of class warfare as it is being argued in the arena of partisan politics, is hardly an issue for 3rd or 4th graders. (http://radio.foxnews.com/toddstarnes/top-stories/school-defends-occupy-song-for-8-year-olds.html) My little guy is nine and smart as a whip to be sure, and I can tell you that while he is definitely attune to his daddies political leanings, the NE Patriots, “Call of Duty” and someone named Gabrielle are the real focus of his day.
So I think my message to Virginia School District Representative Phil Giaramita with regard to “Part of 99” as sung by the Woodbrook Elementary 3rd Graders, and his assertion this was exclusively the efforts and ideas of these little “crumb crunchers” is —- “Come on man”!!!!

Is there anyone out there who believes that the so-called “Wall Street Protests” haven’t morphed into a chaotic, unprincipled and frankly public threat? If so you should pull your head out of your posterior post-haste.
The age of Obama...
I’m sorry Juan Williams, Bob Beckel and Chris Matthews, the blood and facts are there for all to see. This is no longer a viable demonstration or protest as much as it is an incoherent uprising by a small but vocal and even violent bunch of 60’s anarchists, homeless, misguided college kids, drug addicts and law breakers. Any message that may have been brought to the table by way of the “people’s voice” has been co-opted and massacred to reflect only anger and felony violence against any who oppose their view of the world, including law enforcement attempting to restore normalcy. It has become what we of the “common sense doctrine” knew it would.
The question is what will come of this mess? What will the message be now, or is this simply the beginning of something even more diabolical and devastating for our wounded nation?
Ah, the age of Obama…
“Super Committee Crunch”…
I think that in view of what seems to be happening within the so-called “Super Committee”, we can clearly see it is unlikely there will be compromise in Washington anytime soon. And if by some miracle there is bipartisan agreement on how to reduce our enormous national debt, any measures employed to accomplish that goal will be severely scrutinized by one side or the other. I seem to remember the POTUS and others talking way back when, about how this would be a “painful process for all”, yet he seems laser focused on making damn sure it comes at the expense of one group in particular. Notwithstanding the Presidents propensity to play the class warfare card at every possible juncture these days, we are now hearing folks like Leon Panetta crying foul as he sees the catastrophic damage which would result from proposed military budget cuts if an agreement on the debt is not reached. He has even gone so far as to suggest those cuts would at the very least, create an international environment which would embolden our enemies to take action against us. This is all in addition to the very obvious consequences for our economy as world banks and credit reporting agencies will surmise we are ill-prepared or even unwilling to get our fiscal house in order. We can also be sure that any direct cuts to entitlements which go forward without the aforementioned agreement, will be met with the most vile and hateful response imaginable from the Progressive side of the aisle.
So as we watch and wait on the response from the “Occupy” folks out on the West Coast who have been told to end their protest because of incidents of extreme violence and disruption, and who are now allegedly preparing for additional violence against the authorities in the event of any planned dispersal, we can only wonder how all of this “divisiveness” our President and his party have promoted of recent, will play out domestically and even in the view of other nations and “entities”.
