The Liberal frustration with “truth”…

When the President of the United States begins one of his press conferences by essentially misleading “We the People”, I simply turn off the T.V. or the live stream, because I can’t bear to listen to the rest.

He’s starting off today with the “worst recession since the Great Depression” stuff, which is debatable on so many levels, and quickly transitioning into how his administration has created 4 million jobs and seen 27 months of positive job numbers. The sad reality for so many Americans under this President is that the size of the American labor force has shrunk to its lowest per-capita level in decades down to 58.4 % from 65.5% when Bush was in office. That disparity alone obliterates any job creation under Obama at all! Moreover, the “jobs” he boasts of are a part-time at best substitute to the stable and full-time employment of the past, and have cost the taxpayers of this country literally (T)rillions of dollars in the form of so-called “stimulus” spending.

In the face of indisputable fact as well as irreconcilable numbers, our President has chosen confrontation with the opposition party and “the blame game” in place of the “hope and change” he promised to bring to Washington. Consequently, “We the People” continue to pay the price for this ideological and dangerous gamesmanship.

Facebook False – Step…

Facebook (FB) is now a public company. I’m certainly not enough of a stock guru to prognosticate on Mark Zuckerberg and “friends” brainchild as it relates to any future of the premiere social networking site. I will tell you though, that I have mentioned Zuckerberg and the other co-founders of FB prominently and in various posts for their ingenuity, hard work and entrepreneurial prowess. Let’s face it, their creation is an American success story.

Having said that, I have been watching a few issues closely on FB which have me seriously considering leaving the site all together. You see I have gone back and forth with the concept of FB and other social sites for some time now, and truth be told I see no tangible or crucial benefits. I have stayed with it as I can interact with “friends” from time to time and pick up new ideas to write about. But one of the more recent FB faux-pas that has me a bit put out, is they have banned a young Tennessee mom’s photos of her child who passed away shortly after birth because of a fatal physical defect. I am told the photos were taken down because they showed the deformed little ones head, and the FB elite must have felt this was unacceptable. Mom Heather Walker re-posted the photo’s and was subsequently banned for 24 hours from the social mega-site.

Now I’m gonna put aside my sympathy for the family and the emotions they must have been, and continue to be feeling regarding the loss of their child, but what the heck are these bumpkins at FB thinking. I have read and seen some pretty sickening content on FB that continues to be allowed, seemingly without recourse. Yet when this mom wants to “share” her life experiences, (sad as they may be) as the site promotes is the reason for its existence, she is treated like a spam artist and degenerate.

Now again, I applaud Zuckerberg and his buddies for their successes thus far and I hope this is just a simple misunderstanding which will be rectified post haste. However, if these folks at FB turn out to be nothing more than a bunch of idealistic censorship artists, allowing only material of a particular “party branding”, then I, and I suspect many others may begin to head for the exits. Moreover, I would at that point  take up the cause to ensure that everyone I reach will know the true marketing intentions of FB should they be less than honorable about the whole thing. You boys have made it big. Don’t mess up big and blow this. Your company is now publicly traded, and it doesn’t take an investment banker to know that even the mightiest have fallen in that arena.

“Conviction” of late…

Does anyone really think the President or any of his sycophant cronies like Jack Reed of Rhode Island are “coming out” in support of gay marriage because of any deep felt conviction? Come on folks, the POTUS has been riding the fence on this issue for his entire Presidency thus far, and Jack Reed lost any conviction he may have had along with his conscience some time ago. This is nothing more than a political tactic, carefully vetted through the prisms of polling and focus groups. It was even a bit nauseating to hear President Obama invoke the sacrifice of Jesus Christ while discussing the issue on ABC. This from the man who immediately springs his ACLU umbrella every time someone even mentions the words church and state in the same sentence.

Now I am not an overly religious man, and I try very hard to keep my opinions on things like gay marriage and abortion rooted in cultural, historical and Constitutional context, because I don’t feel qualified otherwise. But nothing lights my fire more than a pandering politician trying to pass him/herself off as actually caring about an issue, when nothing could be further from the truth. Frankly, if I were in the marriage equality camp, I would be pretty damn offended it took Mr. Obama so long to “develop” his “conviction “on the matter. “Come on man”!!

They cannot run from this…

I think that if you are even a little concerned about the Constitutionality of the “Affordable Care act” as it was supposedly vetted by the Obama Administration and a Nancy Pelosi controlled Congress, you must watch this video. The discussion was between Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and Republican Congressman Trey Gowdy, and centered around the recent dust-up over the Constitutionality of an HHS Mandate requiring nearly all employers to provide contraceptives, including abortion inducing drugs, via their health care plans, to their employees regardless of any religious foundation or belief associated with a particular organization. If you take the time to listen to this in its entirety, and if you can put aside any ideological and/or preconceived notions you may have regarding religion and government and open your mind, you will see how “We the People” have been blindsided by this President and the Left in Congress.

Unfortunately, an additional consequence of this un-Constitutional nightmare will be the inevitable collapse of our economy under the crushing strain of an Obama intended “single payer system”. Please watch this video and learn what has been the truth from the very beginning of “Obamacare”…

War on women???

The President’s efforts to divide our nation appear to be playing out in a big way in the media today. It seems yet another Obama insider has had a slip of the tongue, or not. Liberal attack dog Hilary Rosen is anything but apologetic however, and is defending her comments about Ann Romney and how Rosen feels that being a “stay at home mom” is somehow less than work and a perk of the privileged. (Only if they are Conservative). Moreover, WH Press Secretary  “School Boy Jay Carney” couldn’t even man up and address Rosen’s charge that raising 5 children through breast cancer and multiple sclerosis doesn’t qualify as work, but rather went on a tangent about the POTUS’s pandering to the women’s vote. I mean this guy makes me nauseous on so many levels I can’t count them.

Now setting aside the fact that my wife would beg to differ with Rosen, (add angry “stay at home mom” tirade here), this insanity is sure to invite the wrath of many a mom who is simply trying to give their young one(s) the best possible start in this life. Truth be told, there are still those of us who believe that “mom”, as part of a nuclear family where dad can get out and work his damn tail off, is in fact the best and most qualified person to take care of the kids. We also believe that the “broken home”, as well as the home with two working parents, are statistically less conducive to a child’s success by way of many types of pitfalls, thus we make sacrifices in the best interest of our posterity. This does not mean we are wealthy by any stretch. In fact many of us are anything but. It also does not mean that success cannot be achieved despite hardship or disadvantage. The idea is that we should address the root causes of our societal ills and not attempt to disguise them with ideological foolishness and classroom theory, put forth by many a tenured but wholly inexperienced and/or misguided “educator”.

Look, one only has to do a bit of simple homework to know the real story of Romney and his wife and how they held their babies on their laps and studied off a wooden door propped up on saw horses and used as a table so they could get their educations, and how Mitt donated all of his inheritance to his father’s institute so he might make his own mark in this world. But this is the problem. Sacrifice and hard work are ridiculed as dated and “politically incorrect” within the Obama Utopia. Ambition and effort are being replaced by resentment and entitlements at any cost, and that will be the true legacy of this “Hope and Change” President.

Our only “Hope” is that we “Change” Presidents in November…
