One chance…

44 out of “57” states saw their unemployment numbers go up last month Mr. President. 24 million Americans are out of work. The actual unemployment number, which includes those who have lost all “hope” and simply stopped looking for work, is 15.9 percent, or slightly higher depending on the mechanism of tally. And it takes 250,000 jobs created each month (just to keep up) with population growth Sir. So please tell me how we are somehow “moving in the right direction”.

It’s numbers like these, and this Administration’s response to them, that give me cause to think their intentions are something more ideological, and that they have a very different “vision” for America. Now I know this is stating the obvious, but it bears repeating as “We the People” get ready to choose a President. It is also why I firmly believe this election has far less to do with the candidates than it does the voters. “We” will have to choose not just a man to lead the way, but a direction consistent with the Constitution, and not the entitlement mindset of a particular and growing voter block. “We” will have to choose what kind of United States we want for our children, and whether we are willing to make the hard choices to secure it.

None of this will be easy. But on this Monday morning, while I watch the news and see my father’s and my sons country slipping away, this election is looking more and more like the most important in more than two centuries.

I believe we will have but one chance to get this right. Ironically, “We the People” will have to do much more than just pull a lever. History, taught adequately and “accurately” to our posterity, is our only hope…

“The end of Medicare as we know it”…

“The end of Medicare as we know it” is just another divisive tactical phrase the Left is now substituting in place of any discernible record of achievement. They are correct however. Medicare will “end as we know it”. However it will not be the work of Congressman Paul Ryan, who actually wants to save it. In fact, decades of over spending and pandering have created a program whereby recipients receive an average of 2 to 3 times what they’ve paid in during the benefit distribution stage, (Math 101). Add in a propensity of politicians on both sides of the aisle to “kick the can down the road” concerning matters of fiscal prudence, and it’s safe to say the fate of this well intended but grossly mismanaged nightmare will be sealed by the year 2024. (Attention all “Obamacare” supporters.)

Inevitably, the message coming from Democrats this election cycle is exactly as I imagined it would be. For the party which has not affixed its brand to a budget since 2009, and lacks any semblance of representation on behalf of “We the People” these days, there is simply no “hope and change” available, only “attack and divide”.

“Deficit Hawk”…

While I wanted to see Senator Rubio get the call, my gut was telling me that it was just too soon for the freshman phenom. Having said that, his day will certainly come.

Paul Ryan however, is ready on “day 1” to step in, as Karl Rove likes to say. And the fact that Portly Pundit Bob Beckel couldn’t wait to hear Romney select Ryan as his running mate, tells me the Libs are scared to death of this guy.

Look, we can no longer ignore the imminent and potentially catastrophic fiscal issues facing our nation. With $16 (T)rillion in debt, and more than 100 million folks on some sort of government assistance, and with a POTUS ideologically content to see those numbers go higher, there must be a factual debate which will ultimately determine whether “We the People” will let it all happen.

Governor Romney has made a bold choice here. He has made clear to all players that he means to have that debate, out front and with no buffers. His selection of Paul Ryan tells us, these last few months will be anything but normal in terms of Presidential Campaigns. It tells “me”, Governor Romney knows the score, and America is losing.

Paul Ryan is smart, articulate, honest and unafraid. He is an outstanding choice to be Vice President of The United States, and adds the needed ideological depth to the Romney Campaign, necessary to fight this epic battle on behalf of our posterity.

“And we will not replace our founding principles, we will reapply them!” – Congressman Paul Ryan

“Obamaloney”!!! Yup…

It seems the POTUS has now resorted to adolescent name calling with his “Romney Hood” remark. And ya know what, kudos to Romney for firing back…

Enough is enough. It is simply unacceptable that we should always sit on our hands while the Libs wail away with this incessant and hypocritical BS. Regrettably, it’s time to make this the street fight the Left has been “beggin for”.

I think it’s fair to say that both sides realize this November is about far more than the two candidates competing to occupy the most powerful seat in the world. I know Mr. Obama does. His life to this point has been shaped in purely ideological terms, and he means to continue to exorcise that ideology upon “We the People”. More and more we hear him “coming out” with divisive rhetoric and laser focused sound bites, which clearly frame his belief system out in the open, probably more so than his handlers might have envisioned, or frankly wanted. He is right about one thing however, and that is Election 2012 is most certainly about what direction the country should go in. And some of the inevitable questions which come to mind as a result, are these.

Have we finally created an entitlement sub-culture, sufficient enough in size to change the foundational and societal norms of personal initiative based opportunity, which have made us the greatest nation in human history? Are there enough folks out there, so firmly entrenched in that “generational welfare” thing, that there is no hope of turning the tide? Have we sunken so low that a political campaign can literally accuse the others candidate of felony tax evasion and manslaughter, without so much as a stitch of corroborating evidence, and get a pass from the very same media charged with responsibly reporting the news objectively to the people? And are enough of us so complacent and devoid of historical and factual context, that this government of the people, by the people, for the people, should actually now perish from the earth?

If this is all true, then I would ask those who are confident and comfortable they have finally created this “Utopian dream world”, to call on the souls of every dead Soldier who gave his/her life to secure our posterity’s future, and explain to them how this looks anything like our forefathers United States… “Obamaloney” for sure!

That sickening feeling…

It is nothing short of shameful that folks like the portly pundit Bob Beckel are touting 163,000 jobs as if that were nearly enough to dent the real unemployment number of over 15 percent in this country. Even more disturbing, is their “purposeful ignorance” when it comes to other factors like last month’s jobs numbers being revised from 80,000 to 60,000, as if 80,000 were not bad enough. And then we read that 153,000 people simply left the work force entirely last month. So what does that mean? It means the net gain of jobs is actually a net loss of (-30,000 jobs), in terms of contributing revenues.

Any economist with credentials beyond those of a classroom twerp will tell you, that an economy with the breadth and scope of the United States economy, requires consistent job creation in the range of 225,000 to 375,000 jobs per month to constitute tangible, albeit average recovery. The simple truth is that our nation remains wounded and staggering without hope of stabilization short of unleashing the “power to prosper”, by way of massive across the board tax incentives and a complete restructuring of the U.S. tax code. Realistically, we are actually sitting at the best possible juncture to push the reset button on years of reckless feel good spending and income tax nightmares.

These numbers today spell real trouble for an incumbent President, and believe me the Obama Team knows it. Oh, and message to WH Harry Reid: Mitt Romney has paid far more taxes in his working career than your entire family generationally has “earned” in all of its history. What a complete imbecile….

Polls and posterity…

Analyzing polls is nothing short of frustration 101. As someone who is actively campaigning to evict the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue this Fall, the fact this race is as close as it is, with the President slightly ahead in most polls, can sometimes be disheartening. However, I’ve said all along this election would be about “We the People” and not so much the candidates, and I’ve learned polls are very often the fools bait. One must look at “the numbers within the numbers”.

Interestingly, there are several polls out this week that don’t bode well for the POTUS. For instance Mitt Romney is seen as more trustworthy and a better leader in one such poll. A sizable majority of those polled in another do not consider likeability over experience when considering the next President. Even more notable, far fewer Democrats are as motivated to vote in 2012 as in 2008, and Republicans appear to be twice as motivated. Motivation and turn-out where key factors for the Obama Campaign in his first run.

On its face, this may not seem like much to get behind, but when Team Obama makes it a point to announce they are bringing in “Bubba” for the “7th inning stretch”, that’s gotta say something about what they’re seeing in their own internal polling, especially when you consider the ongoing and frosty relationship between Clinton and Obama. Still, the key time slot at the Democratic Convention belongs to “Slick Willy”, and it will be interesting to see if he can inspire the rank and file Dems to join the President’s radical Progressive BS machine.

All in all, I’m sticking with my original prediction. When folks actually find themselves standing there, about to make a choice which so directly affects their children’s future, sensible Americans will recognize the danger in 4 more years of this President, shrug off the Starbucks peer pressure, and vote in favor of saving the country.

No apology needed???

Well we knew it was gonna be a rough campaign. And we knew the Obama attack machine would play a big role. But it’s getting nasty even earlier than I thought it would. The question I have is, can Mitt get below the curb with this crew? let’s have a look at the latest crap coming out of the cesspool.

So Mitt Romney leaves Bain Capital in 1999 and runs off to the 2002 Olympics to make history. He has no dealings with, nor is he in the loop with regard to a single business decision the company is making during that time. (Note: To date there is not a single document or representative piece of paperwork other than a leave of absence with his name on it during the time in question. However if this changes, so might opinion of the Governor.) Not only is this documented, but it is also one of the most publicized departures in American business history because of his destination and all of the success he had when he arrived in Salt Lake. Additionally, and as is the case with most larger corporations, the timing of “Securities and Exchange Commission” filings in relation to the actual written transition of power are sometimes far from perfectly aligned. For the most part this is done on purpose to (avoid) confusion between the departure and arrival of leadership, as well as assign any responsibility having to do with their respective terms of service. In this case, it is obvious that Romney was long gone, and any concerns the “concerned” Obama team may have about decisions made during that time are political in nature to put it mildly. However, to frame it in terms of a “felony” in order to exact maximum drama, is downright misleading and certainly less than honorable. Nonetheless, it doesn’t surprise me with this bunch.

The next whopper is the T.V. spot highlighting how Governor Romney paid only 15 percent in income tax against approximately $40 million he made last year, drawing the comparison to middle class folks who might be paying a higher rate. Ok, let’s start with the obvious. Three words, and I must let you do your own homework on this. (Effective Tax Rate). Because if you don’t know what you’re actually paying in taxes Mr./Mrs. Middle class, then shame on you and we shouldn’t even be having this conversation. Additionally, one of the reasons he paid at the 15 percent rate is because of the millions he gave away which also reduced his burden a good chunk. Oh, and if anyone thinks an eventual $6+million dollar tax payment is too little, then you do not understand the fundamentals of our economic system, which makes you part of the problem. This is why I say you must all read the “numbers within the numbers”, and not be buffaloed by the Obama class warfare and propaganda machine. Know the truth before you vote, or this election will be an exercise in “divide and deceive” as opposed to any “hope and change”…

Penance and Progress…

As infuriating as it is to hear the country’s sworn Attorney General make the case that requiring an individual to prove he/she is a citizen before voting is akin to the poll taxes of the post slavery era, I must account for the fact this man is obviously a disingenuous and despicable politician and not a true lawman. Having said that, I happened to catch Mitt Romney today addressing the same group of NAACP hypocrites Holder addressed just days before. I was pleased during the beginning of the speech as Romney made a very heartfelt appeal to the crowd to see what was in his heart and not be duped by the Obama class warfare rhetoric. Then things got ugly. As Romney started speaking about common sense, sound fiscal policy and fairness as means to address huge disparities in unemployment numbers for African-Americans, he was met by groans and at some point outright jeers. Later, when he spoke of rolling back Obamacare for a more sensible and realistic approach that wouldn’t bankrupt the country for all Americans, the audience flat-out booed him.

Well, as I have said before and will say for the record today, there are many within the minority caucuses and causes who are content to have race be a factor for the foreseeable future and beyond. I cannot imagine what would have happened, and how the “Lame Street Media” would have lamented had the POTUS been booed in a venue of predominantly white people. This is the height of hypocrisy and speaks to much of what is wrong in America today. There is simply no interest on the part of the Left in solving the “problems” of minority communities, only exasperating the theme of division and bigotry. And what happened to Mitt Romney today is proof positive of that.

I absolutely applaud Candidate Romney for going into the lion’s den. Sadly though, and for the same old reasons, it was an extraordinary waste of time and effort. What a disgraceful moment in our nation’s history. I am truly embarrassed this day for the country which has done more in far less time than any other to address the issues of human rights across the board. I guess the NAACP and the likes of Benjamin Jealous, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakhan will decide when and if we will ever be free of our sins, or receive credit for penance and progress…

Presidential disconnect…

For a POTUS presiding over unemployment numbers realistically closer to 15%, it boggles the mind how the word taxes can even cross his lips. I suppose his ideological mindset will simply not allow for common sense and/or history’s lessons.

Firstly, when President Obama spoke of “those making $250,000.00 or more” as the “wealthy” among us today, it was maddening to think he was incapable of drawing the connection between small business, DBA’s, small LLC’s and other folks, who are the life’s blood of our economy, and who are the only hope of any meaningful recovery. This “tax plan” is simply another class warfare stunt that will further handicap any infinitesimal progress to date on the economic front. How any logical thinking person can believe this type of Progressive tax approach, along with massive regulation and now universal healthcare, are somehow conducive to economic growth is simply inexplicable. However, that is a topic for another day, (and many more after that).

Anyway, the “revenue” generated by this massive tax will explode the national debt by $4 “T”rillion dollars over 4 years and generate only enough usable capital to run our bloated government for just about 8 days, yes people 8 days! Is there anyone out there who truly believes this “tax the rich” scheme is legitimate and not a campaign tactic meant to distract and destroy? If you do, you are beyond all reason and actually a big part of the problem.

For my part, I believe this President knows full well he cannot find enough revenue on Wall Street to fuel his “hope and change”, and so he intends to cut a line even closer to the beating but injured heart of our nation. Hopefully, he and his Marxist college buddies will be shown the door in November, before “We the People” bleed out from the many flesh wounds already inflicted.

The new reality sucks…

With Gas prices still hovering above $3.00 a gallon, 2 million mortgages in foreclosure and an equal amount 3 payments or more behind, and a measly 85,000 jobs created last month in a total work force that has shrunk by almost 3 percentage points since this President took office, I suppose one would have no choice but to try and spin these dire numbers as somehow “a step in the right direction“. I’m just not so sure I like that direction.

Look, Debbie Wasserman-Shultz can blabber on all she wants about how GW was the Anti-Christ and all bad things in Washington are Republicans fault. But the facts are our economy is flailing and in danger of going out of business, and the Presidents approach has been one of more debt, more taxes, and divisive class warfare. Consumer confidence continues to plummet as Americans are far smarter than the Dems give them credit for. “We the People” can see the ship is sinking and we are not overly anxious to back up and hit the iceberg again.

Then Candidate Obama was very frank when he told a reporter that if he couldn’t fix this in three years, his would be a one term Presidency. Well, all he has done is exasperate a bad situation, and I think we should hold him to his own prediction.
