Next question…

So the President wants to “speed up job creating projects”
does he? And he wants to talk about it next Wednesday so it will upstage the
Republican Debate planned for the same night at the Reagan Library. And for
anyone keeping score and who would suggest differently, that is just political
banter. The reason why it is not petty to bring this up is because the
consequences of an Obama second term are too glaring in their potential for
ruin to ignore. You see this has much less to do with politics as much as it has
to do with the future of this country. As I predicted, we are in a full on
battle for the soul of America Left or Right moving forward, and the truth must
not be a casualty of that battle.

So make sure you stay tuned and take in a little of both the
debate and the POTUS on September 7 as you will hear some very distinct
differences in approach to our problems. This is not petty and President Obama
knows it. His numbers are plummeting and he is about to give us another helping
of “shovel ready” BS that will do about as much as the first. Also as part of
his plan it will be necessary to demonize the opposition at all costs and with
no mercy or regard for the truth. This is your country too. Be there and put
aside the politically correct quirks. Do not be fooled or allow for the
redefinition of words and/or history, and please do not ignore the simple
reality of our national condition. “These are the times that try men’s souls”
and we must be able to weed through all the politics and elect men/women of
action who will make the tough choices necessary to bring us back from the
brink. It has come to that…

Green jobs no more…

The President’s poster child for “green jobs”, Solyndra LLC
out of California, has filed for bankruptcy and laid off 1100 workers fueling
criticism that we are just not ready for this transition, and there are others.
From the beginning, I have said that we must shake off our dependency on
foreign sources of oil but not at the expense of the economy & JOBS. There
is no need for this. The technology is to new and untested. Moreover, people
remain unconvinced of the pressing need and/or the feasibility of much of
what’s being offered as an alternative to fossil fuels. This is what I mean
when I refer to the Obama Presidency as a “classroom experiment”. The hopes and
expectations of youth and higher education are most often tempered by the
reality of life, and then appropriately channeled with time, testing and
experience. Not the case here. We have elected a man who is seen in some
circles as an intellectual giant come to save us from ourselves, when in reality
he is an untested community organizer whose lack of experience has cost our
Country trillions and precious time. All ideological application aside, the
proof is there if you chose to read the wall.

Say what???

Let me understand this. In the midst of persistent
unemployment in an uncertain economy, we will now afford worker’s rights to
those working and “living” in our country illegally. Listening to Labor
Secretary Hilda Solis attempt to explain this “strategy” is painful. Solis
brushed aside charges that such policy initiatives fly in the face of every
person who has gone through, or is going through the legal process to become
citizen of this country. I want to know why the Obama Administration does not
see the rule of law as a factor when considering sending out a cabinet member
to loud such nonsense.

The sad truth is they don’t care. This mockery of our
Constitution is specifically designed and packaged to give the appearance of
fairness while simultaneously violating federal law and padding a voting block
exclusive to the Democratic Party.

The amazing thing about this White House is how they are
undeterred by laws, the opposition, polls or public opinion of any kind. They
mean to change America into the Progressive utopia envisioned by the likes of
George Soros and his “open society” crowd. It is their mission and
they believe in it with passion and intensity. If the Republican Party can find
this unity and sense of purpose when it comes to the Conservative and cultural
values that have made our nation great, damn, we can’t lose…

Even when Verizon strike numbers as well as the adding and
then subtracting per the health care industry and retail hiring figures across
the board are taken into consideration, the net job growth number for the month
of August was an unbelievable “0”… Moreover, the prior two months figures were
actually downgraded from their original projections adding still more pessimism
to the outlook for our economy and unemployment. Folks are looking for the
bottom screaming: “are we there yet”?

Amazingly, the WH Obamabots are still claiming the economy
is expanding!!! Do these people understand there is no expansion or true growth
without jobs growth? It simply does not compute. Not to “We the People”, and
certainly not to Wall Street.

So as the POTUS gets ready to unveil his “new” jobs plan
next week in front of a Joint Session of Congress and the whole world, one has
to ask: Is it possible to turn the ship around with this team at the helm? What
approach could possibly be beneficial coming out of this WH? And does this
President truly understand the critical nature of this problem and what it
means to Main Street USA? Today’s news is most certainly troubling…

Experience counts, in more ways than one…

I watched a segment on one of the cable news networks this
morning and heard a pundit say something simple but very profound. When asked
about why he felt unaffiliated voters were fleeing from the POTUS in droves, he
offered up the obvious but yet not so obvious answer:

After almost three years President Obama has given them
nothing. And more importantly, he has “no body of work” to look at and say
“hey, this guy ran a company”, or “this guy was the Chief Executive of a large
state and has managed financial crisis before”. There is simply nothing to grab
hold of and say, “let’s give this guy some more time”. This is where
the “novelty” wears off and reality hits you straight in the face. Putting
aside all of the ideological wrangling, many who voted for this President are
left with only empty promises and not so many “shovel ready projects.

So when he steps to the podium next Thursday, don’t look for
lots of fanfare and adoration. What you’ll see is a man tempered by the reality
of the Presidency in difficult times, struggling to rally a victory.
Unfortunately, President Obama suffers from the very same partisan disease he
claims is solely an affliction of the Right Wing Republicans in Congress. This
hypocrisy and unwillingness to be part any solution which he cannot take full
and total credit for has and will cost him.

Look, “We the People” are a fickle bunch at times and the
early 21st century is shaping up to be divisive at best when we consider the
direction of The United States. But as we watch our economy spiral to the point
of no return in real time, Mr. Obama would do well to take a page from the Bill
Clinton playbook when it comes to “bipartisan” politics. It appears to be his
only hope. I’m sorry but, “Don’t call my bluff” hasn’t really panned out Sir…

I am planning a special post to mark the 10 year remembrance
of “September 11, 2001”. I have been mulling over the content for some time now
and must admit it is more difficult than I would have thought. That aside, I
wanted to take my political swipes early so as not to cloud what should be a
day of solemn reflection and tribute only.

Appropriately then and among other things, I remember
clearly the feeling of spiritual unity that spread over the nation following
the events of 9/11. Ideological differences were cast off and there was left, a
simple recognition of a higher power in whom we knew we must rely to carry us
to the other side of a devastating and heart wrenching river of events. We had
been knocked to our “knees” as one, and the collective refrain I remember
hearing vividly over and over was; “Oh my God”, “Oh my God”… So
indeed one could not possibly deny that our individual as well as collective
spirituality were key factors in the immediate and subsequent aftermath
following that tragic day.

Ok, why then would the elected Mayor of a city so shaken to
its core by co-opted and opportunistic murderers of the innocent, seek to
silence the expression of faith in a power greater than our own that helped
heal a nation? Why would a Mayor prohibit the recognition of so massive an
expression of hope and charity which became the marching orders for an entire
country? And why would that same Mayor be so consumed by idealistic vitriol
that he would cast a shadow over so important a date in our history? Now I am
no religious scholar or theologian, but I am a man who lived through that
horrible time and who understands clearly the need for a diverse yet common
bond of faith through which all Americans might channel some hope, grief and
understanding.

Shame on you Michael Bloomberg… Your short sited and
idealistic pandering is an affront to the souls of the Citizens you represent,
as well as a distraction to those families of the loved and lost who are
clearly still struggling to find peace a decade later.

9/11 Talking

“We love death. The U.S. loves life. That is the
difference between us two”.

Osama Bin-laden

Are we now to understand the WH has issued talking points to
federal workers with “guidelines” for discussing the 9/11 attacks? The Hubris
of this bunch is something beyond the average political and presumptuous crap
coming out of Washington these days. These individuals are quasi propagandists
in training.

The events of that fateful day in 2001 mean many things on
many different levels to many Americans and the thought of “sugar coating”
and/or somehow diminishing the role of Al-Qaeda in the tragedy no less, is an
astounding leap of the federal arrogance factor. As a consequence I must come
back to my theory that much of the political battle being fought around the
nation of late has its roots in the exposure of this type of unabashed and
idealistic posturing facilitated by the Liberal victory in 2008. As the
President was “very clear” back then, “I won the election”. And as I have
reminded all of you many times since, these are committed people who mean to
change The United States of America. The length of their time in power will be
measured against what change they were able to affect, not by the “term” of the
President. This is the only way the committed Liberal thinks, and is also the
reason the President is fielding so much grief from his political base

Subsequently, the vivid reminder of 9/11 contrasts greatly
with the Progressive view of the world as seen through the eyes of the Obama
White House, and thus presents the opportunity to promote the “heck, we asked
for it” mentality, albeit subtly and over time, so as to allow it to sink into
the noggins of “Independents”…

Everywhere we look today there are examples of both sides of
our political equation and 9/11 is no different. Unfortunately, that key
component everyone talks about, and which is recognized as necessary for our
long term prospects as a nation, is still missing as a result of many of these
“subtle” but dangerous attempts to revise history and promote a different view
point. What is that component? You guessed it, “unity”…

What do you want to bet the two will sound very much alike? Yup, a slobbering

I was making an effort to tune out the news today as I
needed a break. No such luck…

I turned on the “History Channel” tonight to watch a special
called “Targeting Bin-laden”. It started at 8:00 and by 8:06 the narrator had
quickly moved passed the valiant efforts by hundreds of intelligence folks and
thousands of U.S. Soldiers over a period of 10 years, and focused squarely on a
“new President” elected in 2008 who promised to do whatever it took to get the
murdering terrorist, setting the stage for the current POTUS to be the hero of
the story. PENALTY flag, 15 yards for unsportsmanlike conduct! Considering the
sacrifice of so many who fight in our stead, I was immediately nauseous. At
that point I quickly switched stations vowing to give the History Channel some
time off of my flat screen. So I turned on Fox News just in time to hear Alan
Colmes hailing the President as having saved America by reforming Wall Street,
passing free healthcare, and giving tax cuts to the middle class. OMG, it’s
time to switch from coffee to Jack Daniels…Then it dawned on me. Why am I
looking for the truth from these fools???

I suppose it stands to reason that the Obama gang can’t
stand on their record or they’ll fall on their face. 9.1% unemployment with a
hard number of around 14%, a devastated housing market, almost 15 trillion
dollars in debt, job killing business regulation, a healthcare “bill” we can’t
possibly pay for, a paper tiger stock market, and over 70% of “We the People”
basically saying we’re screwed…

When you have nothing, just lie through your frigging teeth.
Heck, somebody will believe ya… (Probably the main stream media and Alan Colmes
anyway)…

Speeches instead of

Cancelled PATRIOT64 Media, Politics, Daily Dose, Economy Speech,

I liken the idea of additional “stimulus” spending as a
means to fix our economy and create jobs, to trying to put out a forest fire
with a squirt gun. In contrast I would not disagree with the notion that our
infrastructure is falling apart and in need of immediate repair. The question
is how we address this while moving toward a return to states responsibilities
when it comes to their respective roads and bridges and the like. You see it is
never easy to return to independence. Generations of “grants” and subsidies
have created a giant sow with far too many on the federal nipple. It is the
same for state and municipal government as it is for the individual with an
entitlement mindset. Once these entities have incorporated the benefit into
their respective spread sheets, it is almost impossible to take it out. That
funding is now part of the program, and the terms “help” and “assistance” morph
into code words like “grant” and “subsidy”. Before you know it, cities and
states cannot survive without federal funding, and we all know where federal
funding comes from. It is a slippery slope which will require a difficult and
painful approach to resolution.

It seems we are faced with a problem though, that is
actually new. In the past we have been able to throw money at problems as we
did in the 1930’s and 40’s. This was done with the promotion of “we’ll get it
back when the crisis subsides”. That never happens because in the eyes of
Liberals, crisis is endless and has many definitions. Now however, we are so
hobbled by the enormous debt from the smallest of towns to Washington which has
resulted from decades of this careless spending, it is difficult to look at the
“spread sheet” and see a way out. Our credit cards are finally maxed.

When you consider this simple equation, and then add in a
government which has become so over bearing with regard to regulation and
incredible hurdles thrown up in the face of small business in this country
today, it is obvious that the POTUS has his work cut out for him tomorrow
night. How can he inspire the real job creators without ticking off his Liberal
base? In the end this will be about who puts their respective ideology in the
drawer first. One thing is for sure, the President has elected to politicize
the crisis by calling this side show speech in front of a joint session instead
of simply sending over a comprehensive plan to Congress and then working as a
President should in these types of situations, behind the scenes to achieve that
coveted “compromise”. His “solution” instead will be to just drive the wedge
deeper and deeper, widening the ideological gap which continues to fuel the
vitriol in Washington…

The closer we get to this speech the more unprecedented and
ridiculous it appears. Instead of working with Congressional leaders to solve
the nation’s problems, the President appears to be at war with Congress and
political gamesmanship is his weapon of choice. On the one hand the POTUS is
lambasting House Republicans for inaction, when on the other hand he is
grandstanding with an unprecedented joint session speech in order to pitch more
of the same ideological rhetoric that has gotten us to this point in the first
place. It is appalling beyond comprehension that President Obama, aided by the
complicit “main stream” media, can get away with this sort of double speak.

Compromise will not come as a result of a fancy speech short
on substance Mr. President, but rather when you accept that the job of being
President is about leadership. It is not just about being elected President,
but rather what you do on January 21 and beyond. To some degree, it should not
even about re-election but rather doing what’s right for the nation.

This may sound very cliché and pie in the sky and it
probably is, but we have reached a critical point in our history. Political
missteps over a long period of time have left us crippled and off course. We
have faced challenges certainly, but none with such great consequences, not
only for “We the People” today, but “We the People” tomorrow.

So I think you can read the frustration in my post and hear
it resonating across the country. The President must now lead, follow or get
out of the way, for it should be abundantly clear by now and to our detriment,
that he has done none of the above.

I thought the debate last night was interesting though there
did not appear to be any knock out punches delivered. I will say that Governor
Perry did not disappoint however. For those of us who believe that a strong
position and the words to back it up will be necessary to get us out of this
Obama nightmare, Perry is a welcome change.

Now I’m not suggesting that the tactics of “Hoffa” are the
way to go. Quite to the contrary, I think old Jimmy aught shut up because he
just looks foolish and is hurting not helping his cause. With that said
however, America is thirsty for strong and decisive leadership. “We the People”
are not so politically correct that we don’t recognize a strong leader when we
see one.

I will be watching closely and listening to the candidates
moving forward, but one thing is certain. Considering our dire condition as a

speech, Joint session of Congress

Some 12+ hours after the much “heralded” speech, I can
finally look at the finer points and agree that there are a number of things in
it that might work. Small business tax incentives and help for our returning
soldiers should certainly be part of any potential solution to what is ailing
our nation. However, I remain stuck on the presentation and how this President
can ever expect to negotiate on behalf of all the people when he clearly sees
himself representing only “one side”. The direct and not so direct jabs at
Republicans in Congress were politically disgusting to watch and listen to. And
I was struck by the fact that this $450 billion dollar “stimulus 2” package
could have been pitched from the desk in the oval office with a much more
conciliatory and olive branch style. Instead, Barack Obama went hard core and
threatened to take the fight to “every corner” of the country, ultimately to
get his way.

So on the day after “the speech” I’m left feeling even worse
about the prospects of compromise with this POTUS. And while I was head long
into twitter last evening venting with others who see through this man, the
bigger picture remains how we find the common ground which is so necessary at
this moment to save our great Republic from becoming just another foot note in
history…

Last night’s final “facebook” and “twitter” post: This
speech was nothing more than an angry lecture from a “college

and which will do nothing to promote the cooperation and compromise necessary
to help the economy and stimulate job growth! Patriot64…

08:46:40…

… American Airlines flight 11 flies into the North Tower of
1 World Trade traveling at more than 450 miles per hour, and our nation is
changed forever…

10 years have passed and yet the pictures remain crystal
clear in my mind’s eye. Images forever seared into our collective memory, there
remains a palpable darkness to that bright and clear September day. I have been
all over the spectrum the last few weeks trying to get a handle on how best to
write about this decade memorial to the 9/11 tragedy and it has been much
harder than I could have imagined. The easy approach would be to simply revisit
the gruesome and obvious physical aspects of the tragedy itself, and in some
ways I will have to incorporate some of that. However, I decided to focus on
the loss of that day, the loss of loved ones and the loss of 21st Century
American innocence.

When America entered the Second World War in 1941, with very
few exceptions there was a collective and gritty determination to avenge Pearl
Harbor and defeat the enemy at all costs. “We the People” were united. In the
immediate aftermath of 9/11 we saw this type of unity manifest itself across
the country in so many little ways. People became clear minded and purpose
driven without regard for anything other than that common thread which binds
all Americans. We were bloodied and confused, but we were determined to beat
back the enemy at the gate.

9/11/2001 and beyond:

All but the most Left minded Americans would say that
President George W. Bush laid a calm but firm hand on the situation and
provided the “kick ass” bravado and reassurance that a wounded nation needed to
get to its feet. The debate over the conflicts that followed and which have
been front and center for us since that time will be debated for decades to
come by both sides, but under 43 the American military leapt into action, their
courage and fury proving far more than Al-Qaeda might have imagined. Unlike
WWII however, this battle seems endless in many ways but must be fought
nonetheless. As a side note, I was listening to Lt. Colonel Ralph Peters on one
of the morning shows and he made some very good points. Peters was explaining
how we are winning the “war on terror” and that we should be extremely proud of
our military and law enforcement folks for the great job they are doing. He
went on to describe the reality for Al-Qaeda in that we have pulverized them to
the point where it is dangerous even for them to peak out of their hiding
places. And he also noted that ten years later we should be living our lives,
but with the knowledge that we will most likely be “killing terrorists” for
some time to come.

The victims:

America’s ability to rise above the physical destruction of
a calamity of this size is unmatched in the world. Money, resources and pure
will are the hallmarks of our successes when facing disaster. As a nation, we
have often been the rock on which other nations have stood and faced their own
calamities. With that said, 9/11 was clearly about much more. It was about
those we lost. No amount of money, resources or force of will could bring them
back. Moreover, the fact that they were “noncombatant innocents” going about
their daily business and were taken so suddenly and violently, left us with
open wounds. Families ripped apart, who mere hours earlier were sharing a cup
of coffee or a hug goodbye from a loved one. The image of a blonde haired, blue
eyed 5 year old and her mother setting out on vacation to Disney aboard United
Flight 175 is burned in my mind forever. Those souls who held hands and cast
themselves into the morning sky as they did not want to be burned alive, is
something that will haunt me all the days off my life. And the site of the
towers crashing to the ground in Battery Park with so many office workers,
firefighters and police officers still inside was in every sense of the word,
“unbelievable”. The notion that an ideology could be so hate driven that this
“collateral damage” be justified remains incomprehensible to me, except to
understand and admit that it was indeed the intention of our enemy to commit
this very type of pure and simple murder.

In the end, the new buildings will rise and “1 World Trade”
will again do business with the nation and the globe. But those we lost and
their families will forever be in our collective hearts and minds, their
abbreviated lives, a reminder of how human freedom and common decency are
ideals foreign and rejected by our enemy.

The first responders:

Every first responder, be their lights “red or blue” accepts
the fact that they may one day face death as a consequence of their profession.
It is not something we take lightly but rather just try our best to avoid if
possible. Having worn a uniform most of working career, and having stood in the
shadows of those buildings, I can imagine the apprehension in the minds of
those who rushed without hesitation to save lives and put out the flames,
knowing full well they might not come out alive. For me personally, the month
of September is always hard. For whatever the reason I have lost some close to
me over the years in September. Reconciling those losses over my adult life and
then remembering how heart wrenching an official uniformed funeral is to all
who participate, the feeling of sadness that overcomes me every year at this
time is difficult to bear. The look of total loss on the faces of the loved
ones left behind takes away a piece of you every time you see it. Sadly, no
matter how many times I have heard the phrase, “they died doing what they
loved”, it never seems easier to accept. While it is certainly time to remember
all who lost their lives that fateful day, I have special thought s for the men
and women who went forth to somehow make a difference. It does in fact take a
special person to be a first responder, and their courage and heroism in the
face of such evil and carnage on 9/11 is the stuff of legend.

Flight 93:

Americans are a different breed to be sure. There are some
around the globe who would call it arrogance, but I call confidence. The
confidence of knowing your course is true and right with no apologies. That
confidence is what spurred the passengers of American Airlines “Flight 93” to
action. As they became aware that their flight was much more than a hijacking,
and that they were to be used as a suicide weapon against freedom, brave souls
aboard the doomed airliner tried to save their plane and their lives. It is
said that still classified recordings of open cell lines and cockpit voice
recorders reveal a group who eventually realized they would not make it and
decided that they would fight on anyway denying the terrorists their victory.
God bless and rest the souls of these first soldiers in the “war against
terrorism”!

The Pentagon and the military:

Sometimes overlooked are the 189 souls, including those on
American Airlines Flight 77 who died at the Pentagon. We often take for granted
the logistics behind the greatest fighting force the world has ever known. How
personal it must have been for our brave Soldiers at their posts that day.
Those charged with fighting in our stead were themselves under attack by a
faceless ideology without the intestinal fortitude to meet them on the
battlefield. They would regroup however, and bring the fight to the enemy’s
lair in short order. The stories of courage were no less inspiring in
Washington as co-workers who were themselves injured by the initial collision
and fire caused by the jet, ran back into the inferno time and again to rescue
those who cried out for help. There is something extraordinary to be said for
the military code of honor and for all those put on their boots after 9/11 and
set out to defend our freedom. Since then, the Army, Navy, Air force, Marines
and Coast Guard have given their sweat and their blood to make right what was
done to our country. And with every flag draped casket that makes the journey
home to our shores, the price of 9/11 and of freedom in general is all the more
evident. God bless them, every one…

The real aftermath:

10 years later it is still hard to believe. When I look at
the footage from that day and see the huge pile of debris at Ground Zero in
Manhattan, flight 77 rocketing into the side of the Pentagon, and the perfect
plane shaped wedge carved into the ground in Shanksville PA, my mind still
cannot take it all in. I guess this is part of the reason why I have had such a
hard time writing this post. Moreover though, it is the sobering realization
that no small effort of mine could possibly frame so massive and traumatic an
event as 9/11. The sheer magnitude of the events of that clear September
morning remains almost impossible to define inside of an op-ed or even a 1000
page tome. Lives were changed forever and so was life in 21st Century America.
The innocence was gone, and so was any sort of complacency. For my part, on the
one hand I am cognizant of and I agree with Lt. Col. Peter’s analysis of our
victories to date and what they should represent to us. On the other hand, on
this solemn occasion, I am left wondering if we will ever again feel that sense
of unity as we did on that day and in the months that followed September 11,
2001.

I remember:

I remember very vividly, I was doing some side work for
extra cash supervising a job site for a friend in Warwick, Rhode Island. I was
actually in a very deep hole guiding a backhoe operator as he lowered some
cement pipe to provide for run off drainage in the new parking lot we had just
finished for a local manufacturing company. My friend pulled up aside of the
hole and yelled that something was happening in New York, to which I responded
that I was “kinda fxxxxxg busy”… He said nothing, but the blank and fearful
expression on his face caused me to jump from the hole and run to the new
security booth we had installed earlier in the week. The little old security
guard inside was watching a small black and white T.V. he’d brought in to pass
the time, and as I stuck my head in the door I could just make out a dark shape
as it disappeared into Tower 2 in a giant fireball. I felt the breath leave my
lungs as I knew immediately what was happening. I turned to Owen and we knew to
send everyone home immediately. I lived in a Condominium not far from the job
site and raced home, frantically calling my young wife who had already heard
the news at Macy’s Department store where she was a retail executive. All I
could think of was how many times I had put up a fuss when she entertained the
notion of traveling to New York on business. We met at the house later,
prepared the best we could for what we did not know or understand at the time,
and sat holding one another watching silently as the television reported the
horror in minute by minute detail. A double wick candle on the breakfast bar
mysteriously burned into two shapes resembling twin towers.

My son was born the following August and represents hope and
Gods love to my wife and I. So much loss and sadness,,, we must have hope…

‘MEET ME IN THE STAIRWELL’

You say you will never forget where you were when

you heard the news On September 11, 2001.

Neither will I.

I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room

with a man who called his wife to say ‘Good-Bye.’ I

held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the

peace to say, ‘Honey, I am not going to make it, but it

is OK..I am ready to go.’

I was with his wife when he called as she fed

breakfast to their children. I held her up as she

tried to understand his words and as she realized

he wasn’t coming home that night.

I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when a

woman cried out to Me for help. ‘I have been

knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years!’ I said.

‘Of course I will show you the way home – only

believe in Me now.’

I was at the base of the building with the Priest

ministering to the injured and devastated souls.

I took him home to tend to his Flock in Heaven. He

heard my voice and answered.

I was on all four of those planes, in every seat,

with every prayer. I was with the crew as they

were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of the

believers there, comforting and assuring them that their

faith has saved them.

I was in Texas , Virginia , California , Michigan ,
Afghanistan .

I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news.

Did you sense Me?

I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew

every name – though not all knew Me. Some met Me

for the first time on the 86th floor.

Some sought Me with their last breath.

Some couldn’t hear Me calling to them through the

smoke and flames; ‘Come to Me… this way… take

my hand.’ Some chose, for the final time, to ignore Me.

But, I was there.

I did not place you in the Tower that day. You

may not know why, but I do. However, if you were

there in that explosive moment in time, would you have

reached for Me?

Sept. 11, 2001, was not the end of the journey

for you. But someday your journey will end. And I

will be there for you as well. Seek Me now while I may

be found. Then, at any moment, you know you are

‘ready to go.’

I will be in the stairwell of your final moments.

The weekend was as I expected, both somber and reflective as
we memorialized the events of 9/11 a decade later. Time may indeed heal all
wounds, but the scars certainly remain. I want to thank all of you for your
kind email, with special thanks to the “inner circle”. These are difficult days
for me and I do appreciate the sentiments.

With that said, Kevin Harvick and Team 29 ran a great race
on Saturday night and are now tied with the dreaded Kyle Busch and Team 18 for
first place, with 4 wins each and the chase fast approaching. Even better, its
day one of “Patriots Football” beginning tonight against AFC rivals the Miami

Why is it that any sense of urgency for the President
usually manifests itself in the way he speaks? He tends to drop his (r’s) and
take on a far less collegiate tone, sounding more like he is forcing a game of
one on one down at the city courts. I mean this guy is tough to pin down. Frankly,
it’s getting harder and harder to identify the masterful and intellectually
superior speaker the adoring “main stream media” types portray him as at any
given moment.

Anyway, the POTUS is off pushing “Stimulus II” even as
Congress and the Congressional Budget Office grasp at how he intends to pay for
it. Moreover, this “Super Committee” as it has been touted, is also dazed and
confused by the President’s “Hail Mary” attempt to shore up the damage he’s
done to our economy. As Speaker Boehner put it, “permanent” tax hikes for
“temporary” jobs simply does not make sense…

As a side note today, I took a pounding for my post on
Solyndra. The Lefties blamed China, trade agreements and the kitchen sink for
the company’s recent failure, but defended the project and the President. To
add insult to injury, the firm and its board are now being investigated for the
manner in which they obtained stimulus money, and there are questions about
what the WH knew and when they knew it. Cozy backroom (Lincoln bedroom) deals made
with company executives are now front page news, and the Obama Administration
is about to go into panic mode. So you see, it was never about “green jobs” as
much as it was about “politics as usual”, and it looks as if “We the People”
got screwed for about a half billion dollars to boot. Damn, I hate being right
all the time…

The bottom now appears to be falling out and the President
is in the open. Many are not happy with what they are seeing, even his Liberal
base. As a consequence, the idea that a Republican candidate is even polling
out of single digits in Anthony Weiner’s old district is nothing short of a
referendum on #44. If for nothing else, this will facilitate a debate neither
side can run from any longer. It’s getting good folks, and I think this is just
the beginning of a complete unraveling of the Obama Presidency.

Now folks like Big Bob Beckel and High school Propaganda
Minister Jay Carney will try and dismiss this as just another special election,
but nothing could be further from the truth. There are many things in play
here. Voters in a very Jewish area of District 9 have apparently not forgotten
the President’s comments on the Israeli borders, nor should they have. The
economy and job creation are in the face of “We the People” like they
have not been in a generation, and Democratic voters out number Republicans on
the ground 3 to 1. When you add in Power Broker Democratic icons like Ed Koch
appearing with Turner on Election night, and the fact that this is also Chucky
Cheesy Schumer’s Senate District, and still more amazingly the voters were
fully aware that District 9 will be “redistricted” out of existence in just 2
years, you simply cannot escape the magnitude of this loss for the Democrats.

So Beefy Beckel can spin all he wants, and school boy Carney
can keep that glazed look in his eye every time he gets a question that stumps
him, but the truth is the gig is up.

If you’ve noticed a certain gritty politics in this post you
are not off the mark. Bob Beckel and company are getting just a little loose
with their commentary when talking about Perry and Republicans in general. With
this in mind, I will take a page from my “anti-hypocrite playbook” and respond
in kind. If they are going to continue to refer to me is a gun slinging, bible
toting, moonshine running, NASCAR loving, intellectually challenged, right wing
radical, Beckel is just gonna have to live with a few fat jokes…

Finding their way clear to the real issue of saving our
economy by way of deficit reduction will be difficult for the so called “super
committee”. There will be a price to be paid by some in both houses of Congress
for the decisions they make, be they spending cuts or revenue “enhancements”.
By far the Conservatives have the more daunting task of calling back bit by
bitter bit, the unsustainable and unjustifiable spending that has lead us to
the brink.

As I have written in the past, and what is always left out
of the “main stream” media presentation, is that there are actually very clear
lines which differentiate between what is a truly necessary and appropriate
responsibility of federal, state and/or local government, and what is a
politician(s) pandering to a voter block.

Now I have had an epiphany of sorts recently, and it is that
Americans are wise to this differentiation. And for this reason I am inclined
more and more to believe that this election will be framed more by ideology,
and the direction in which “We the People” see the country going, than by any
other measure.

I suppose I must be comfortable with this analysis, though I
admit it scares me. Comfortable because we must allow the process by which a
free people chart their own political and ultimately collective destiny. I
guess my problem remains on what basis, and by what standard will we make our
decisions? What have we “learned” by way of our government’s example? Is it
that all are entitled to the same piece of pie regardless of their efforts or
endeavors, or that the “pursuit of happiness” is just that, a pursuit?

Make no mistake, the road to our success as a country is
paved with the individual hard work and subsequent success of the free
individual. Free to realize his/her potential and utilize that potential to its
fullest. Will there be those who falter, and those who are wounded for whatever
the reason? Of course there will be. And this great country has in the pas, and
should raise them up. But the sad reality is political charlatans have usurped
a just cause and parlayed it into a twisted and wretched misapplication of our
Constitutional duties. Worse yet, we seem unable to wrench ourselves free of
the political correct attitude that so corrupts our culture and our children’s
future.

We are standing at the crossroads people. Put aside quirky
political bias and rescind your grandfather’s vote. Do what is right for your
children. Do it softly, do it loudly, but do it just the same

Mahmoud Abbas

With all of the turmoil here at home, it is easy to forget
about what’s going on around the world and how it affects us. While the
President tries mightily to jump out in front of Sarkozy on the Libya thing,
the greater Middle East, and specifically how a Palestinian State figures into
that equation is a burning and rather “explosive” question right now. Israel
continues to struggle as even Arab allies are turning away from her under
pressure from the Iranian murderers. And now we hear that Palestinian President
Mahmoud Abbas is going to force the Administration’s hand in the United Nations
this coming week by introducing a statehood bid and daring the U.S. to vote
against it. Unfortunately, the current foreign policy application of the Obama
Administration has eroded any notion that the American government means what it
says or even says what it means. This “negotiating” style, in place of an
appropriate leadership role has emboldened the little Iranian tyrant and others
to push now while the pushin’s good. It is a disconcerting situation when a man
who is the illegitimate President of a country that does not exist can stare
down the United States of America in the arena of international statehood, and
have a fair chance of success for his efforts no less.

I have said many times that I am no religious scholar. And I
have also been up front about not engaging in religious debates where I may not
offer constructive and/or meaningful thoughts. That said, I do see some fairly
simple history here with regard to the structure of that region of the world
dating back some time. I think if those who are quick to somehow condemn Israel
while ignoring some of this history would read up on it, and/or search their
souls just a little bit, they might at least be willing to have a rational
discussion before marching out with a burning Israeli flag. And I’m speaking of
some of the narrow minded fools right here in our own USA.

Now I know that the Palestinian defenders will have a field
day with this one, screaming oppression and asserting victim status, all the
while ignoring their own methodology. But in my humble and not overly religious
opinion, we must look at things through the 21st century lens. Simply put, up
and until those who would make Jihad on an innocent faction of a populous, to
include the youngest, oldest and most helpless among that populous, are moved
to understand that their barbaric and inhuman methods would be the sword of no
good, caring and decent God, and also that if they choose to align themselves
with established movements who have advocated for genocide as a means to an
end, then they will be seen by this free man as an enemy of all humanity and be
treated as such, (certainly not as legitimate partners in peace who only seek a
land of their own).

More class

Iss…, Economy Class Warfare, POTUS, Paul Ryan

It’s not so much the tax itself but more the notion of
fairness that offends. That said, let’s take a look at some of the dynamics…

We know Democrats are definitely running out of sources and
avenues to fund their spending initiatives. And we know they thoroughly enjoy
pandering to every entitlement crowd that comes down the pike. And we also know
that in doing so they have been very successful in projecting their efforts as
“us and them” to those who seek to justify illegitimate income. And finally we
know they realize the President has painted them into a corner with failed policy
after failed policy and almost 15 trillion now in debt. When as a
representative of “We the People” your intentions are ideology driven, exposure
is the last thing you seek. So unfortunately for the Progressive Liberals in
our country, the debate is now out in the open and clearly framed by the class
warfare label. The problem is Americans from all walks are taking hits these
days and are not in a very sympathetic mood.

Budget Committee Chairman, Representative Paul Ryan and the
GOP have fired back on the eve of the President’s announcement on how he plans
to pay for “Stimulus II”. To his credit, Ryan has shaken off the Libs attempts
to paint him as an ogre who seeks to push old ladies off cliffs, destroy
Medicare and steel candy from babies. Instead he has stayed on point baring the
truth no matter how ugly it may be. I am particularly impressed that despite
the pressure, Ryan is calling the POTUS out on using “fear, envy and anxiety”
as weapons. I would add “uncertainty” to the mix as Mr. Obama is focused only
on re-election and not any long term solution, despite what he might “yell” to
the contrary in any college or university setting.

Let’s face it, if the argument is over loopholes and
illegitimate deductions, then let’s throw in the flat tax and have a genuine
conversation about real and tangible solutions, not pit American against
American for the sake of political, or worse yet, ideological gain. I remain of
the mind that this discussion must first be about “what we are”
before it can be about where we are going, economically or otherwise.

The problem Mr. President is that while the rate may be the
same, the numbers tell the real story. Look, there aren’t many quicker than I
to defend all hard working Americans, including “secretaries”, who pay more
than they should in taxes. This can be said for just about all hard working
Americans though. Our tax system is unfair and unbalanced, no question.
However, when the President of the United States walks up to a podium and
purposely misrepresents the facts for purely political gain, it frosts me to
the core.

Simply put, when you add all of the taxes the so called
richest among us pay, the hard numbers account for about 90% of our raw gross
operational revenue in this country.  Now
we can talk all day about what one sees as fair, but the story would always be
a different one. For every damn tax loophole there is most certainly tax in
another form. And then there are estate taxes, and regulatory taxes, and
inventory taxes, and insurance taxes, and luxury taxes and on and on and on…..
This is why when you start talking about the only true fair tax play (the flat
tax), entitlement and special interest revenue hogs like our mathematically
challenged President throw on the class warfare armor and go into battle mode.

Fact: Any income strategist or economist who is not working
for the White House will tell you that $250,000.00 a year is rich alright, but
only if its 1958. More often than not these days, that number represents an
individual(s) filing DBA and who hasn’t even paid the workers comp insurance bill
and is late on quarterly’s because of inventory negatives and payroll gaps. You
see, this is what happens when you put an idealistic and inexperienced
individual in charge of something he knows absolutely nothing about. And if you
want to make it even worse, elect him President and let him bring in his
friends for advice. God help us!!!

Breaking down taxes and their different sources and
allocations is a tedious adventure best left to the most dedicated numbers
crunchers. But the AP did an awesome job with a story today that puts the crux
of the argument in language Middle America can digest and understand. Part of
that story deals with the real tax rates after the application of standard
deductions and the like. Those sticky little details the POTUS always choses to
leave out as they do not fit the class warfare mold. As I have said recently
though, it is different this time. “We the People” are awake and paying
attention. No matter the reason for our slumber, those who have surfed the wave
of complacency to the shoreline of re-election so many times, are now having to
explain their approach to our Constitution as well as their tutelage of our
hard earned money. More importantly though, the new age of Social Engineers
(Obamabots) can no longer hide behind the curtain of political correctness and
must bare their ideology for all to scrutinize.

I guess what I’m saying is let’s be honest and call this
stuff what it is, the re-distribution of income (“spreading it around”), so as
to promote the social agenda and Liberal vision of the Progressive Left in
America.

Boy, it doesn’t sound so good when you say it like that, now
does it???

From the Associated Press as taken from the “Tax Policy
Center” and IRS:

This year, households making more than $1 million will pay
an average of 29.1 percent of their income in federal taxes, including income
taxes and payroll taxes, according to the Tax Policy Center, a Washington think
tank.

Households making between $50,000 and $75,000 will pay 15
percent of their income in federal taxes.

Lower-income households will pay even less. For example,
households making between $40,000 and $50,000 will pay an average of 12.5
percent of their income in federal taxes. Households making between $20,000 and
$30,000 will pay 5.7 percent.

Being a celebrity should come with certain qualifiers. For
instance, there should be a contract you must sign which requires that you take
a leave of absence from acting, singing or performing in any fashion when
engaging in political speak for the record. For some reason, certain entertainers
are compelled to share their political thoughts and ideology as if it means
something because they can act or sing or whatever. My experience has been that
in listening to these people nothing could be further from the truth. Actually,
it’s quite to the contrary. For instance when a guy like Tony Bennett speaks
out on a subject like 9/11 and gives some revisionist and completely uneducated
opinion on why its “our fault” that murderers flew fuel laden jet liners into
New York office buildings killing thousands of innocents, I have the urge to
chew on a piece of hardwood… And when I hear Sean Penn singing the praises of a
murdering dictator, I am inclined to drink heavily.

Look, there are some folks like “Bono” out there who most
certainly have used their celebrity to benefit the greater good, and this is
admirable. Actions always speak louder than words. However when someone is
clearly taking sides against their own country, the same country I might add
that made their success possible and has done more for human kind than any in
recorded history, that person is deserving of the highest level of loathing…

The shine is clearly off and Rick Perry is now having to
defend some of his decisions as Governor as well as clarify his positions on

were the attacks by those who trail him in the polls. Having said all this, I

scrutinizing him more intently as the process plays out. However, and as I’ve
said, I have not decided who I will support for President in the primary as of
yet and probably won’t for several more months. So for all you folks who
emailed me about my initial enthusiasm regarding Perry, I remain consistent in
my opinion that Liberal opposition to him is rooted in the fear of his many

Gods law, any short term awakening by Mitt Romney has its foundations in the
fact that he has flipped and flopped on issues so many times in his political

I will say this about the debate the other night, and that
is the “second tier” candidates really shined. They appeared very cognizant of

Note: I know there is a lot of fascination with Ron Paul

Better to run against Congress and demonize them for not
passing my “jobs” bill, than to run for re-election on my record of
achievement.

In reality, this is exactly the playbook for “Obama 2012”.
In the absence of any tangible or positive news regarding the President’s
policies so far, he is left with only the “class warfare” and “anti-Republican
rhetoric” pages. Problem is, “We the People” stand to lose the most in this
scenario.

The POTUS has done an extraordinary job of deflecting blame
for this debacle he calls an “economic recovery”. And his cabinet has been
the best offensive line any weak quarterback could ask for. However, the game
is now entering the fourth quarter and Team Obama is down two plays and on
defense. The response from the sidelines? “Hail Mary”… Throw out another $450
billion dollars in borrowed money, something you know the opposition would
never go for, paint them as partisans and then blame them for the country’s
woes, all the while playing the victim. Typical…

As the Republican field begins to take shape, with the
candidates solidifying their positions on the issues more every day, it appears
that President Obama indeed plans to make this fight over ideology to a fault,

Congressional Black Caucus, President Barack Obama 1

I’m really starting to wonder which President is speaking
from one event to the next. As he kicked off a West coast “campaign” swing on
Saturday, speaking at an awards dinner for the Congressional Black Caucus, Mr.
Obama was sounding more like a fired up Baptist preacher than the President of
The United States. Now as a Christian, I am totally on board for a weekly pick
me up from the pulpit. The problem is the POTUS keeps adjusting his pitch, tone
and vernacular to suit what he perceives as the target audience, and it is
getting a bit sickening. The level of double speak from the Presidents mouth,
and the manner in which it is put forth, smacks of disingenuous political opportunism
at its worst.

Now if I were to take this one step further, I would remind
African American voters who may feel disenfranchised of late, that this
President represents nothing but the status quo when it comes to empowering
minorities in our country, not to mention specifically those in troubled
communities. Let’s face it, as the standard bearer for the Democratic Party,
the President should be running at lite speed away from their record of, or
rather lack of achievement in the area of advancing the causes of all
minorities in America over the last century.

Don’t be fooled people. Americans do not need slogans and
divisive rhetoric to empower them. Real empowerment comes from within and is
one of the hallmarks of American individualism and exceptionalism.

Electability, POTUS, Presidential Election 2012

After Herman Cain’s upset victory in the Florida Straw Poll,
I was inclined to show him a bit more “respect” as he puts it. Truth is, he’s a
smart businessman who has beaten the odds of cancer and is a well-spoken and
thoughtful orator. During times when the economy is front and center for “We
the People”, folks always seem to gravitate toward the business person type
candidate. An individual who must manage an operational budget, payroll and a
benefits schedule, along with a multitude of regulatory and other insurance and
tax paperwork, is evidently more attractive than a party insider or typical
political animal armed only with the usual talking points and a broad smile.

The quandary remains whether or not “We the People” can make
that leap of faith to support the true outsider who is saying what we know is
true, not propagandizing and/or pandering.

Are the lessons learned? Can we see the forest for the
trees? Can we read the writing on the wall? And do we accept the reality and
gravity of our situation? Good questions all, but meaningless if the answer is
no to any of the above qualifiers.

These are what primaries are for. And if enough people
actually vote their conscience and are not swayed by some perceived
“electability” dilemma, all may not be lost after all.

Cancelled PATRIOT64 Politics, Rhode Isla… Brendan Doherty
1

Our nation’s problems are monumental and will require that
our elected officials put “We the People” before party or politics. So when I
read recently that Rhode Island House Minority Leader Brian Newberry called for
Brendan Doherty to drop out of the race for the 1st Congressional seat calling
his campaign “misguided”, I was curious about why we are attempting  to chase decent candidates away. Look, for
starters the Rhode Island Republican Party in Rhode Island is about as
misguided as misguided can be. That said, I have some suggestions myself which
might bring some clarity and maybe educate a few folks like Mr. Newberry. First
off, I do not speak for Colonel Doherty but I know him. I also understand him to
have been a JFK Democrat, which makes him a moderate Republican today. Now I
know this is sacrilege to many old school Democrats, but the reality is that
Jack Kennedy would never have supported the modern Democratic platform in all
of its Progressive variations, and frankly this is not even debatable. Quite
appropriately, if it can be said that Doherty has supported person over party
in the past, is this not a good thing in a state where so many “claim” to be
“independent” thinkers?

Facing so critical an election, we will certainly be faced
with choices. So if you are swayed by partisan and divisive rhetoric, then by
all means do not vote for Brendan Doherty. However, if you would consider a
person who will go to Washington with no preconceived notions of grandeur, and
who will approach the legislative process with thoughtful reason as it relates
to his children’s future as well as that of his constituents and their
children, and who will not simply project the scripted talking points as one
vote on either side of the isle right or wrong, then Doherty is your man.
Ultimately, if “political experience” is what has brought us to this brink,
then maybe “real change” is truly appropriate at this juncture.

As Christian Pastor Yousef Nadarkhani faces potential
execution in Iran today, one has to wonder how long we will allow this rogue
regime to continue in a civilized world. The very nation which has now vowed to
move its warships into Atlantic waters close to the U.S. Maritime Borders, is
stoning and lashing women for looking directly into the eyes of men and hanging
Christian Pastors for their faith.

As I listened to the terrorist Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speak at
the U.N. the other day I was actually hearing Adolf Hitler. I wondered aloud
about what it will take for someone or some nation to stop this evil little man
before he reaches his full genocidal potential. What more must he do? What
signal must he send, and frankly what will it take for world leaders to unite
and do right by humanity and rid the world of this madman? I am inclined to
think that some in 1937 were asking the very same question. Ironically, it was
not until Adolf Hitler did exactly what he had so clearly projected he would
do, that the world finally stepped up. Sadly, and as a result of that inaction
and complacency, so many died who did not have to.

I know full well of the argument over our role in “policing”
the world, however it is a hollow argument. It does not always mean sending our
brave foot soldiers to ventilate scumbags like this animal, but rather it means
decent nations taking the initiative and working in conjunction to “truly”
isolate the regime, and not just applying unenforceable sanctions that won’t
work anyway. The dilemma for the United States now is that we are no longer
seen as the pivot point to that approach. We have forfeited our national legitimacy
in favor of trying to negotiate and reason with ideological and hateful
sociopaths, who are further emboldened with every American indecision or
misstep.

Say a prayer tonight my friends. Say a prayer not only for
the sake of Pastor Nadarkhani, but for our children who will become adults in a
very different world than we are living in today.

Has anyone seen my “revised” copy of the Constitution?

North Carolina Governor Bev Perdue is just another in a long
line of Progressive Liberals to open their yap and spew the real motivations of
the Democratic Party today. So I was not surprised to hear that she suggested
suspending elections so “Law Makers can get to work stimulating the economy
unencumbered by anxiety about what voters think”. Sure… Why the heck should
politicians give a rats you know what about what “We the People” think anyhow?

I have tried mightily in the past to bring to light that
elections have consequences, and we continue to see those consequences every
day. No longer do these individuals have to hide in the shadows. In many ways I
think it is a good thing that they are out in the open. At least then we may
know who they are and can confront them when they attempt to stifle debate and
suggest things like shelving the Constitution just because things aren’t going
their way. You can even hear this type of elitist bravado when the President
himself speaks. Let’s face it, how many times has the open microphone recorded
Mr. Obama’s true feelings and intentions in digital form and for all to hear.
Not to mention “gaff-a-day” Joe-Joe Biden’s adventures in abject stupidity…

As a word of advice, do you homework and know the facts.
Then you will not be so surprised when you hear one of these utopian Obamabots
espouse the alteration, suspension or otherwise discontinuance of the very
system which has provided for the best arrangement for mankind under God, bar
none.

I’ve written about her on a few occasions but couldn’t resist another go-round.
After the choreographed stab at the FOX News bunch from debate night on
“The Veiw” this week, complete with a blank stare from our blank Vice
President, “Joy” followed up nicely by treating Bill O’Reilly like a peasant
journalist from one of those dinky news outlets, like shall we say MSNBC. Now
in keeping with my policy of “responding in kind” to the Liberal attack dogs
this campaign season, let me just say that O’Reilly is a better man than me.
Personally, I would have turned to Behar and asked if she got the number of the
truck that hit her on the way in to work this morning, and left her rather
“treaded” and cranky. Lets face it, O’Reilly forgot more about
“The Party of Lincoln” than this idiot knows in total.

Now look, I have about had it with the Progressive pit-bulls
getting a free pass from the main stream press on this stuff. And when we throw
in Garofalo yesterday, suggesting that the GOP is floating out Herman Cain to
debug the racist smear tattooed on the party by Left wing loons like Garofalo

Hey Salem,, What the hell is that whistling noise??? Boom!

Another one bites the dust. Another purveyor of hatred under
the guise of religion has bought the farm. Another reject who would manipulate
other societal rejects to murder the innocent in order to bring some twisted
glory to him and only him has now assumed room temperature, and Ron Paul doesn’t
like it. This is what I’m talking about when I reference the “Libertarian”
doctrine. This tangled view of our Constitutional obligations is proof positive
of the need for a Republic made up of laws and not men. The notion of Anwar
al-Awlaki as anything other than an enemy combatant who traveled to a foreign
land in order to conduct a clandestine and violent war upon the United States,
does not even deserve a rebuttal, with the obvious exception of disgust.

Moving along to the President -  It has always been the case that the POTUS
gets credit for a good economy or a bad one. He also gets credit for successful
issues and efforts overseas regardless of his actual participation or oversight
with regard to either. However, there are some differences in the case of
Barack Obama. This is a unique time in our national history when we have so
idealistic a man in the office. Despite the best efforts of Democrats to date,
when the question is asked fairly and appropriately, a majority of “We the
People” not only feel that this economy now belongs to the Obama Gang, but also
that he and his cohorts have actually done much to make it worse instead of
better. For all intents and purposes, the “blame Bush thing” has officially
worn off.

Now with regard to foreign policy, the only credit I can
give the President is that in the case of Muslim extremist terrorism, he has
basically allowed the greatest military and intelligence gathering agencies in
the world do what they are paid for and do very well. The unfortunate part is
that his reasoning lies in the fact that he does not want to increase the
“inmate” population at the very Guantanamo Bay he had promised to close back in
2008 before he was “educated” in the ways of the real world. Ah… What to do,
what to do…?  Ventilate the bastards by
way of hot lead and with extreme prejudice. Bravo Mr. President, you’ll get no
argument from this patriot. However, the “main stream” media is always quick to
praise this President while giving just a subtle and begrudging nod to those
who have put their lives in harm’s way to make it all happen. Oh well, c’est la
vie…

Nonetheless, I am inclined at this time, to give my own nod
to the President of the United States and the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen,
Marines and Intelligence folks under his command, for a job well done in this
ongoing “War on Terror”.

Cancelled PATRIOT64 Media, Politics, Education, Daily Dose,
Social Iss…, Rhode Isla… David Brock, Media Matters, FOX News

Do you see who I see??? Maybe it’s the glasses…

Media Matters makes no secret of its agenda, in that the
organization is targeting what “it” sees as right wing or conservative news
outlets and individuals. More recently and specifically, we have read of David
Brock, Media Matters founder, and his comments regarding a planned “all-out
campaign of guerrilla warfare and sabotage” against the FOX News Agency. Now
for those of us willing to look past the obvious double standard application by
the left wing media power brokers in this country, these types of premeditated
nonsensical comments from folks like Brock, who lack the mental capacity to
argue in the true arena of ideas and facts, come as no surprise. The bigger
question however, remains how a company which files its taxes as an
“educational” organization may enjoy that benefit while fully and admittedly
engaged in the political fray.

Appropriately, I will not direct my comments to the Internal
Revenue Service as they are merely puppets to the obvious “tolerance” of such
hypocrisy by our “Left of center” leader in the White House, who clearly has no
problem with a little “Fox bashing” now and then. But I will however, direct my
demands for recognition and enforcement of some very basic tax law, to my (oh,
so Liberal Congressional Delegation), and you should too. I would ask that they
not only champion the free speech and freedom of the press for “all news
outlets”, that being the same free speech and freedom of the press they so
readily point to when defending the likes of Chris Matthews and Janeane
Garofalo, but that they move with the same sense of “purpose” and “conviction”
they would have had someone leveled a complaint about a church or religious
organization where its pastor might champion things like supporting a candidate
who best reflects your moral compass… Ya know, stuff like that…

The very simple equation here is one of fairness. The “main
stream media” (as enabled by a complicit Democrat Caucus), continues to believe
it may distort, misrepresent and attempt to rein in the voice of any
opposition, as twisted through their elitist lens, “it is best for the
country”. Whereas an agency like FOX makes no bones about who they are and
basically leaves it up to “We the People” to exercise their God given and
Constitutional right to simply change the channel. Truth be told, and as it may
come as a great shocker to my readers, I am not always on board with the FOX
Network. Surprised?

Now I know Lefty Progressives are running for their laptops
so they may call me vile names and “educate” me regarding the “propaganda” on
the FOX News Channel and to that I would simply say, I remain thankful for and
enjoy the freedom to, and most studiously do, watch all news media within the
24 hour cycle. So please Mr. Brock, and to all of your Socialist pals (George
Soros and company), pardon me if I review “all” of the relevant information and
make up my own damn mind, thank you very much!
- Insert totally inappropriate but necessary one finger salute here!

I should note here,
that Representative Jim Langiven was the only member of my Congressional
Delegation to refuse my email. I would ask voters of Rhode Island Congressional
District 2 to consider this inaccessibility an affront to all Americans concerned
about the direction of their country, as well as his consistent record of flip
flopping on the issues of the day when it is time to consider him for
re-election.

As I listen to the responses from some of the “protesters”
on Wall Street, I was struck by how much they are “not” learning about what
makes our/their country work. It is truly frightening to listen to America’s
youth go on about corporate greed and such and then stare blindly into the
camera when asked what they would replace our current economic system with.
Even more frightening were some of the answers they managed to put together.
Sadly, Union and Socialist organizations from around the country are now
running to co-opt these poor souls and their message, whatever it may be. Even
Michael Moore showed up and was entertaining to say the least. When asked his
thoughts on how good “Capitalism” had been to him by a “FOX” reporter, the
portly producer fumbled more than Joe Biden trying to explain his thoughts on
then Candidate Obama’s hygiene.

This foolish and naïve run at the 60‘s mentality is short
sited and counterproductive. There is nothing in the message that even remotely
resembles change for the better, and it has already been marred by hundreds of
arrest and false statements concerning the NYPD by the protesters as disproved
again by you guessed it, FOX News and a properly placed camera and microphone.

My advice to the protesters is for the young ones to go back
to the classroom and tell their respective “purveyors” of higher education that
they would like a refund. As for the older ones, take another toke on the wacky
weed and crawl back to the world of non-reality you have been living in, while

Kool-Aid anyone???

Once again we are “treated” with another dose of partisan BS
by school boy Jay Carney defending the POTUS’s “jobs” bill. If there is a
political hack better suited to carry the message of this Professor/President,
I’d like to meet him.

Incidentally, I’d also like to know why President Obama
feels as though “his” legislation is so special that it deserves no review,
consideration or evaluation. I mean, why bother having a Congress? Let’s just
let the POTUS dictate from the Oval Office what “he”, and “he” alone, feels is
best for us peasants. He’s doing a bang up job so far, isn’t he?? Yikes!! Look,
this is akin to the scene from the movie “Jaws” when Quint is running the dying
motor of the boat until it explodes.

With much of this “jobs” bill a mystery in how it will be
paid for, and the rest a continuation or rehash of the failed experiment thrust
upon a wounded electorate by this Administration over the last two years, there
seems little to get excited about. There are however, several points where both
sides may reason in order get the economy moving in the right direction and get
small business hiring again. Tax incentives and loan guarantees for smaller
companies prepared to expand, and which are actively promoting hiring
initiatives, are sound principles that we can build on. However, the idea that
we may somehow spend our way out of this “double dip” recession is ludicrous,
in light of the fact that the treasury has never in our nation’s history been
so cash strapped and indebted to foreign entities. This economy will not
recover until the engine is restarted and the vehicle is again moving in a
forward direction. There is no grand scheme. There is no fix all solution. And
there is NO short term Band-Aid we may apply to this gushing wound. Determined
and real world applications of tried and true economic models, rooted in the
“small business equation” of significant job creation by way of expansion,
unhindered by burdensome regulation and taxation, are the only ways forward,
and they must begin now so they may take root soon and grow.

In these uncertain times, it will take an honest person with
a patriotic heart to steady “We the People”. That person and those he brings to
the table of discussion, will not only have to truthfully explain where we are,
but will most certainly have to present an identifiable and understandable road
to “real” recovery. None of this will be easy but one thing is for certain, Jay
Carney and all of his academic and untested Yale school buddies have none of
these attributes or answers. Consequently, their blind faith in the
historically and fundamentally flawed economic principles of redistribution and
collectivism are doomed to failure, and we need look no further than his bosses
approach and the subsequent results thus far.

Bashing the Tea Party has become somewhat of a pass time for
the Left wing kooks… Well now we have the ultimate Lefty/Communist Kook Van
Jones, preaching to the Progressive masses that they should adopt the approach
of the Tea Party rather than loath it. Now doesn’t that just beat all???

It does however give even more creditability to my belief
that in the eyes of the Left in this country, engaging in the political debate
is reserved only for the elitist Progressive crowd, for only “they” understand
the intricate dynamic of our nation. And here we have Van Jones basically
saying that while he truly despises the Tea-Party, and believes they should be
shouted down at every opportunity, the Left should actually adopt their
“tactics”. This clearly demonstrates the level of contempt folks like Jones
feel for our Republic, and how if allowed or somehow granted their way, they
would have all dissenters banished or worse.

I have said before and will say again, we need look no
further than 20 th Century history to find a similar and wholly divisive
thought process or ideology. Van Jones and all of his Socialists and Communist
cohorts are the true enemies of freedom. Their twisted and ideologically rooted
vitriol, as directed at all who would oppose them in the arena of political
ideas, smacks of Germany 1939. No reasoning, no debate, and no compromise, just
our way or the proverbial highway.

Now I know there are those who would tell me that this is an
overreaction to an individual like this, and that may be so. But this man
speaks to large and receptive audiences almost daily, and is for the most part
explained away by the complicit “main stream” press as merely an apparition and
inconsequential in the context of the larger debate. For my part, I will not
ignore history and I will certainly not ignore the words of the man himself and
those like him. That level of ignorance and complacency does a great disservice
to my son and to the next generation of Americans. We do have much to fix in
this country, and there is plenty of blame to go around for our current
situation. Do not however get bogged down in the blame game as the Left would
have you do, or worse yet be fooled by this charlatan and other class warfare
types. Listen carefully to the things he says and you will eventually come to
know that the message is one sided and never up for debate of any kind.

Now what was that line the guys from Solyndra used???

As an institution, we look to the Justice Department to
breathe life into those words “equal justice under the law”. However, all too
often under the Holder Justice Department that faith has been shaken. More so
than at any time in recent memory, Eric Holder and company have appeared
arrogant and dismissive in the face of growing criticism of their efforts. From
the “Black Panther” debacle, which for all intents and purposes demonstrated a
complete and total disregard for the system, and even worse was tainted by a
racist application of written law, to the growing scandal surrounding “Fast and
Furious, the Eric Holder Justice Department has provide something very short of
“equal justice”.

Now there have been and continue to be other bumps in the
road, including the failure of the agency to pursue and prosecute election
fraud, as well as turning a blind eye to elements of Wall Street as they may
have related to the Presidents acceptance of so much of that corporate money he
so vehemently decries for anyone but himself, But “Fast and Furious”, and what
this Attorney General knew and did not know at its inception, could very well
be the torpedo that finally sinks this ship of lawlessness sailing through the
halls of justice.

Stay tuned people, as the word perjury slowly makes its way
into the vernacular of a politically hesitant and morally challenged “main
stream” press.

Note to the Republican Party: This investigation, if
appropriately handled and prosecuted, could provide the foundation for
presenting “the real Obama Administration” and how they do business, to “We the
People” in November.

The
“Turban” is back…

Cancelled PATRIOT64 Politics, Daily Dose, Economy Dick
Durbin

Let’s do this Sir….

When I warned you about the “class warfare strategy” being
implemented by the Left this election cycle, I had hoped I emphasized the point
sufficiently. If I did not, let me restate what should be obvious by now.

By any and all means necessary, (truthful or otherwise), the
Progressives are now in full class warfare (CWF) mode. Misrepresentations,
mischaracterizations, inaccurate or incomplete statistics, fuzzy tax math and
outright lies make up the current marching orders for Democrats across the
nation.

On the one hand we have a bunch of hygienically challenged
college age individuals taking to the streets, who clearly have no concept of
exactly what they’re protesting, joined by the Socialist attack dogs who have
already co-opted the unions, as well as the out right and admitted Communists.
On the other hand we have American politicians like the POTUS and Senator Dick
“the turban” Durbin advocating banking out of your basement in order to send
some convoluted and confusing message to the Wall Street. Now I could write for
hours on how this will only trickle down to the middle class and lower income
Americans, as it always does anytime we target “services” in a free market
economy (Economics 101), but my fingers would get tired. Instead let me say
this:

No one likes paying higher fees, and I’m not advocating for
the mistreatment of consumers by any corporation and/or business. But the
reality is the President and his misinformed and idealistic Washington
sycophants have no plan whatsoever to help get the economy going again, and are
using the CWF card to create dissention by way of false propaganda and
diversion. When all is said and done, their policy approach will target and tax
every middle class family in America, and that’s just the plain truth numbers
talking. Think about what is being advocated for on Wall Street right now and
what it would mean for this country. Some very obvious and familiar words and
phrases come to mind. Do redistribution, spreading the wealth, collectivism,
one world order, and social justice, ring a bell? This has far less to do with
Wall Street than Main Street and what makes America work.

Do we need to rein in corporate fraud and injustice,
absolutely? But does taxing job creators out of business have anything to do
with that? Does shutting down the banks accomplish anything except to weaken
America even further in the eyes of her enemies? Does driving a wedge of
jealousy, envy and division into the soul of this country make sense as means
to “empower” Americans? Does the deviation from hard work and its rewards to,
“my fair share” of someone else’s hard and rewards become the rallying cry for
our troops overseas defending our “way of life”? And do we abandon that way of
life which has provided for the very platform the protesters are now enjoying
in order to make whatever point they’re trying to make?

I’m not sure how 2011 will end but make no mistake, Barack
Obama and company are “going for it” on fourth down. They won’t waste what may
be their last best chance to change the game and will do whatever it takes, no
matter the truth, cost or consequence to drive it into the end zone.

The United States of America is at “the” crossroads and “We
