President Obama is supposedly “warming” to Nancy Pelosi’s spending proposals as a way to “stimulate” job growth. It is being floated that we could use the left over money from the TARP bailout.

Ok people, let me help you out. There is no left over money from anything!! Every single dime we are spending right now is deficit spending. This President and Congress are doing the equivalent of taking cash at the ATM on a credit card.

Why is it that the only answer to any problem for the Democrats is to spend, spend and spend some more…

Lower taxes and extend the Bush tax credits to small businesses. This is how to create sustainable employment. Create and maintain an entrepreneurial environment of incentive and investment within the small business community, which by any sensible measure is clearly the bedrock of job creation in the United States. These are the hallmarks that have made our Country’s economy the envy of the world. Step away and let the American people do what they do best with more of their own money. The idea that we can spend our way out of this recession is ludicrous and causing even our staunchest allies to question the faculties of our present leadership.

I would add here what I know most of you already understand. Today’s unemployment figures are as shallow as the media hailing them as proof positive of Obama’s Policy successes. The numbers do not include those who have simply given up trying to find work, or those who have simply exhausted their benefits and taken lesser paying jobs as a means to feed their families, and will soon lose their homes. If they were to give you a truer and more accurate assessment of the jobless numbers in the Country today, it would more likely be about 17-19% unemployed, and these are the most conservative numbers I can extrapolate from all of the figures out there. I have gotten numbers as high as 21%, however I did not want to overly depress you all. Sorry…

Senator Boxer has never been on my list of overly intelligent folks, but one has to look at her most recent comments regarding “Climategate” to truly experience her Senatorial prowess. Or maybe this is the “we are right despite the evidence” mentality that I speak of so often.

Regardless, while most intelligent people are saying we should have a look at these emails as they clearly show a pattern of deception which could potentially affect the entire world economy as well as every taxpaying Americans wallet, Senator Boxer is more interested in how the emails were obtained.

This is classic liberalism. Damn the truth if it does not support our mission to change the Country. You see folks, I will keep coming back to this as much as I see fit to make my point. These people are not interested in debate and what is ultimately good or bad for the United States, they simply want to change the fundamental way we live and insert their twisted power based ideology into our lives, ultimately giving the government power far beyond what our Founders intended.

To heck with the undeniable fact the Mount St. Helens eruption spewed more toxic carcinogens into the atmosphere than the entire industrial revolution from its beginnings until present day. Who cares if the real and factual data collected over the last 100 years shows absolutely no warming of the earth’s climate. And screw those pesky award winning scientists who have documented the many pre-human periods in our planets history where there has been both cooling and warming, basically dispelling the notion that man in all his vanity could possibly affect Planet Earth as negatively as Al Gore would have us believe.

Looking past all the conspiratorial media hype, what we have here is a major scam that has been uncovered. We have been lied too, manipulated and our children corrupted, all with the blessing of less than honorable nitwits like Barbara Boxer.

Listen closely people. With every passing day, momentum is building, momentum that will bring about the greatest awaking of the American spirit in over 200 years. Stay focused, stay informed.

This is a good read that helps us understand how this “environmentalist mythology”, has been killing us softly for decades.

As always we must take a closer look after the speech at the “facts” as spoken by the President and his minions. I was also taken back by several of the “back in time” comments made with what appeared to be the hope that no one would notice.

Former Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld:

“Such a bold misstatement, at least as it pertains to the period I served as secretary of defense, deserves a response,” Rumsfeld said in a written statement. “I am not aware of a single request of that nature between 2001 and 2006.”

“The president’s assertion does a disservice to the truth and, in particular, to the thousands of men and women in uniform who have fought, served and sacrificed in Afghanistan,” Rumsfeld said.

He urged Congress to review the claim in the upcoming debate to “determine exactly what requests were made, who made them, and where and why in the chain of command they were denied.”

These people are just plain full of you know what….

Are my ears deceiving me or do I hear a sitting President bashing his predecessor in front of a military academy while simultaneously patting himself on the back for his supposed ingenuity. This guy brings a whole new meaning to the description of a narcissist. He even threw in the line about the “worst economy since the great depression”.

I’m sorry Mr. President, but flashy rhetoric spoken with a backdrop to give you some credibility on the subject, will not help your cause. George Bush has not been President for almost a year, and the fact of the matter is that there are many who disagree with your analysis of his time in office anyway.

The men and women in the audience at West Point don’t expect anything from you except honesty, confidence and a set of brass ones when it comes to leading them into battle. What they got was campaign rhetoric, and a stomach wrenching dose of ego.

God willing, our Commanders and Soldiers on the ground will do best what they do when the game is on, damn the politics, achieve victory and get back home safe. (Why can’t our President say victory?)

There are times when I am absolutely disgusted with the idea that politicians like this President hold the lives of our Soldiers in their hands.

I temper this with the fact that “the best arrangement for mankind under God” provides for a system whereby we elect a Commander In Chief and must rally to the cause when in time of war. For this reason, and while I disagree with his premise and policy, I will support my Commander and his Soldiers and be waiting when they return from the battle, for their blood runs in my veins…

The Presidents foreign policy seems to be working, ay? Let’s sum up.

The Iranians have basically told the United States to take a flying you know what in a rolling donut… A growing number of nations around the world have voiced serious concerns about our long term prospects and our / or ability to maintain / meet our commitments. Afghanistan is falling apart as the President “contemplates”, not how to achieve victory and protect our Soldiers in harm’s way, but rather how to pander to both sides of the argument. Additionally, he will travel to Copenhagen next week and give away our industrial future with promises of unsustainable, unnecessary and unreasonable emissions caps that turns out, are questioned buy a whole lot more scientists as to whether they are effective or not, than we thought.

Now I may be reaching here, but it seems this inexperienced President has bitten off far more than he can chew and is driving us straight into a brick wall. (And I have not even begun to talk about health care today).

And then I see him, in slow motion, catching what appears to be a pass thrown by “Drew Brees”, in some commercial about 60 minutes of exercise for kids… Boy, he’s got the moves…

Ya know, I really believe this guy loves being the President, but is certainly not qualified. Heck, I think I’ll run in 2012. What do we have to lose?

And BTW, I can run a way better pattern than that gimme he runs for Brees.. Please…… 

I am presently consumed with anger as well as sadness one month before the Christmas Holiday, thinking of those they leave behind.

Questions are many, answers coming for sure, but tonight I speak softly and pray that God would place down his hand and relieve some of the suffering the families of these hero’s, as well as their fellow Officers are experiencing at this very moment. I ask that you do the same.

Rhode Island woes continue…

As a member of a number of unions over the years, I must tell you I have always had mixed emotions about the role of organized labor. After reading the Providence Journals front page piece on deficit spending, those emotions continue.

Most recently having served as Treasurer for an Association represented by the IBPO, you would not have to convince me of the need for a collective representative body in many cases, as I have witnessed firsthand the negligence and chaos that result when less than honorable folks are placed in positions of power in any organization be it federal, state, municipal or private.

That said, I am equally convinced that pushing our local governments beyond their ability to pay for service of any kind, as financed by “all” of our hard earned tax dollars, is intrinsically wrong and has certainly been a major contributing factor to the financial demise of this State and our Country.

So for the purposes of the collective bargaining battles we fight here on the local level, I would simply say to my fellow union members out their today: think carefully about the end game. This is not like anytime we have faced in the past. The money is simply not there. Do we compromise and live to negotiate another day, or do we push to the potential collapse of many cities and towns, and inevitably to things like merged and or shared services between the individual entities, as well as forced restructuring of entire job classifications and benefits?

Now I know there are those out there who will say: “We’ll take them to court and make them pay”, and that bravado sounds great at the union meetings and at Town Hall, but while a Judge might agree in principle, they can’t get blood from a stone, and make no mistake, that’s exactly the kind of financial dilemma we are facing across Rhode Island.

So contemplate this for a moment, our longtime economic survival depends on the actions we are taking at this very moment, and it seems painfully clear that “real” cooperation and compromise on (both) sides is the only way forward.

As this experiment of mine grows legs and takes me in God knows what direction, I am often asked why I do it. The answer is much simpler than folks would think. Bloviating and sounding off about my political and other beliefs is not foreign to me, this much I can tell you. But putting it to the written word has been a learning process to say the least.

On the action part very simply, I look around today and know in my heart that I have to do something. Last year about this time I began writing small pieces for a couple of local papers, and I have been getting some of my opinions printed in major newspapers as far away as Israel and the UK for about the last ten. During that time, a few people along the way have made the mistake of telling me I have a gift to write. Now whether they were just blowing smoke or not, it has been all the kick I needed.

So as this ideological war unfolds before our very eyes, and world changing history is being written with frightening speed, we must take care to measure and apply a proportionate defense. With this in mind, I have always believed that if we hear the truth, more often than not we will respond accordingly and in many cases, fend off impending disaster. That said, it is abundantly clear that there is plenty of mainstream media misinformation out there, along with an unhealthy dose of anti-American sentiment among the small but very vocal left in this Country. So basically, I have chosen media in the form of the information super highway to fight them on their home field. Throw in a little bit of computer savvy picked up over the years designing and building a couple of websites, including my wife’s little online business, and there you have it… As you may have surmised, not a whole lot of “expertise” here…

Anyway, I am writing this today because a number of you have asked recently how I find the time and why I bother. Now I know this may seem an uphill battle to some and I appreciate your concerns. But that is just my point. It is an uphill battle, and one that has lulled and even scared many into submission. If I have learned anything in the last twenty five or so years, it has been that you must never part with your conviction or abandon your true belief system. To go down that road is to eventually give up your soul. In this particular case, it is my belief that this Country, with God’s blessing, is certainly mankind’s last best hope in what are undeniably troubling times, and we must all do whatever we can to preserve it within the basic tenets of the Framers.

So don’t be shy. You all know what we have to do… Join in… I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving…

Ahmed Hashim Abed is believed to have masterminded one of the Iraqi conflicts most horrific and symbolic events, and has been a target of U.S. Special forces for years.

Four private contractor security personnel were transporting “catering supplies” in the Fallujah area in 2004 when they were ambushed in a coordinated and planned assault. They were eventually shot and killed, their bodies mutilated and burned beyond recognition, dragged through the streets in a horrific display of macabre evil, and hung from a bridge over the Euphrates River.

This past week and as a result of their blood and sweat on behalf of our nation, United States Special Operations Officers McCabe, Keefe and Huertas finally nabbed this filthy subhuman dirt bag. Now while I am still reading up on the chain of events that has surrounded this incident, suffice it to say that these brave Soldiers who have risked life and limb to carry out their missions on countless occasions should be given medals, correct??

NOT!! Instead they have been charged with assault for punching this low life in the yap. What in the Sweat name of you know who is going on in our Military??? My Father, God rest him, is certainly turning in his military grave…

I am certainly not condoning flagrant or intentional violation of the rules, but the braniacs at the Pentagon better figure this crap out, put it in it’s appropriate context, and get right with their Soldiers quick or they can count on two things happening for sure:

1. The American public’s outrage will be felt on every level possible across this Country, and some —wipe(s) is gonna lose his/their job.

2. Enrollment by those willing to sacrifice all in service to their Country will drop faster than the President’s latest approval ratings.

The battle between The Bishop and The Congressman continues. Bishop Thomas Tobin of Rhode Island continues to take hits from the hypocrite “worshipers” of the Catholic Church.

I have absolutely had it with those who seek to change the rules to accommodate themselves. It is one thing to deceive and cheat the political electorate by say, changing the manner in which you appoint a replacement for a Senator who has passed away. But to excuse, water down, dismiss, or explain away sin, as ruled by the church you attend, is the epitome of hypocrisy.

Just because you want it to be so, does not make it so. Sadly, a significant segment of the Rhode Island populous reflects a national cancer that seeks to bend and manipulate everything and anything, so as to somehow justify their own behavior and make them feel better about themselves. The blurring of the lines is clearly the objective Folks. No more rules!! We want to be included no matter if our beliefs conflict with your rules…

Sorry people, it doesn’t work that way…

Did any of you catch “Low Ball” with Chris Mathews last night?

Let me help out Chris Mathews and maybe increase his viewership just a bit, from say 10 to maybe 15 people.

Fact: Congressman Kennedy is indeed a drug addict, alcoholic and bipolar person who has behaved erratically on a number of dangerous / documented occasions, and it is completely legitimate to question his ability to lead or represent anything or anyone.

Fact: Congressman Kennedy is a Catholic who supports abortion which is in conflict with the teachings of his church.

Fact: Bishop Tobin is well within his rights as a leader of the Catholic Church to condemn Mr. Kennedy for not staying true to his religious beliefs while he performs the duties of a public servant.

Fact: There is no separation of church and state. The Constitution does not say that. What it does say, is that the Representative Republic shall recognize no specific religion. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”

Now we can talk all day about what Thomas Jefferson said in his letter to the Danbury Baptists, but suffice it to say that the anti-religion folks have certainly been very “liberal” with their “interpretations” on the subject.

This is a debate that I would have with anyone out there, hypocrite or not. This is because we must know our history to engage in that debate. Not just excerpts and sentences that we may manipulate to suit us, but rather the mindset of the indiduals who wrote our founding documents.

Anything less is to be ignorant of that history or to seek to revise it. Which one are you?

My Pastor read this proclamation from John Hancock, then Governor of Massachusetts. It makes you wonder what we are thankful for today. Kind of makes you think about the simple blessings in our lives.

May all of you and your families be happy and healthy this thanksgiving. Talk to you all again on Saturday…

Whereas it is the incumbent duty of communities, as well as individual persons…. to recollect the innumerable blessings conferred upon them by their all gracious Father and Benefactor; and as the season of the year is now approaching when – in imitation of the example of our venerable forefathers – a day has been invariably set apart for this laudable and religious purpose.

I … accordingly appoint Thursday, the twenty-fifth day of November next, to be observed as a day of public thanksgiving and praise throughout this Commonwealth, hereby calling upon ministers and people of every denomination to assemble on the said day and … render to God the tribute of praise for His unmerited goodness towards us: in favoring us with so great a measure of health; in preserving us from desolating judgments; in so far smiling upon our trade, our liberty, and the works of our hands; …[and] in continuing to us the innocent enjoyments of social life, the means of religion, the right of private judgment, and the Holy Scriptures – which are able to enlighten and make us wise to eternal salvation…

And… it is highly becoming that we present our humble and penitent supplications to the God of all grace that He would be pleased mercifully to forgive our manifold sins., and through the sanctifying influences of His Spirit, correct our heart and manners and make us a holy and happy people; that He would be pleased to preserve to us our invaluable rights and liberties, civil and religious; to prosper the administration of the government of the United States, and of this and other States in the Union;… to smile upon our university and all seminaries of learning so that streams may issue from them to make glad the city of our God; … to put an end to civil and religious invasions on the rights of men; and to cause the benign religion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to be known, understood, and practiced among all the inhabitants of the earth…

On page 17 of (WH) Harry Reid’s Senate version of the Health Care Bill, they are setting up a “preventive services task force” to rate your need for things like Mammograms. Now despite Secretary Sebelius’ assertions that we should ignore these little “excerpts” from the written bill, they are clearly telling us that they will have a panel of God knows who, giving an A, B, or C rating to your need for care as part of government oversight for a government health care option.

In addition to this, we are hearing things like women “don’t need a mammogram every year after age 40” despite the fact that this approach has been proven to reduce the breast cancer mortality rate by 4%. Also notable are countless studies that tell us fully 12% of women will get some form of breast cancer in their lifetime, with the percentages climbing as they age.

These are just a few facts addressing just one paragraph from one page of a piece of legislation that is over 2000 pages long.

Now I say again, I am not a doctor, nor an expert in the field of human health, but this is exactly my point. If there is anyone out there right now who thinks that people’s health and well being will not be put in jeopardy at some point by this tedious, ambiguous, overly complicated and costly experiment at our expense, then you are either foolish, naïve, or just a left wing nut job who believes that the government actually intends to take care of you.

Stop the insanity!! Health care must be addressed, but this is cloak and dagger for sure.

Did you know that most of the data they are releasing about the long term cost of both health care initiatives on the hill is actually short term? The internal projections are only figured by the actual numbers out to 2013 with the remainder of the 10 year projection being extrapolated (guessed at) from those numbers and not from numbers when actual care will be administered and paid for. So if you think 2 trillion dollars sounds like a lot, then sit down, because there are noted economists predicting an overall real cost of 5 to 6 trillion dollars.

Now as far as I’m concerned, we only need to look at the federal programs in place today to see with clarity that all have far exceeded their respective cost estimates and burdened the American taxpayer enormously over generations.

Phone calls, emails and impromptu visits to your Representatives office, are just a few ways we can keep up the pressure… Is this the politicians idea of “representative government”?

I have no problem voting for Sarah Palin should she decide to run for President, or for that matter, looking at her in her running cloths. (All due respect to the Hubby).

What is it that scares some folks so much about this woman? Could it be that unlike the President, with a grand total of about 150 days in the Senate, she has real executive experience. Maybe it’s because she has no problem telling it like it is. Or maybe she’s just plain better looking…

They have called her every vile name in the book. They have belittled her and her family beyond anything I have ever seen in politics. They have called her “retarded” and “intellectually stunted”, and have even suggested that she was the mother of her daughter’s child. This is Liberal politics for real people.

I would like to take a moment and square these losers away on a few things. I will bypass the obvious venom as it does deserve my commentary. But let me say this about what I believe are Governor palin’s attributes and abilities. While any reference to her obvious good looks may seem a bit sexist, the fact that she looks like she does when engaging on the political scene, makes the Libs absolutely crazy. Evidently, you must be a sea hag with no makeup in order to be accepted on the intellectual scene. (Incidentally, this is not a new concept in the Liberal political arena). Truth is, “Give em hell Harry Truman”, a Democrat Party Legend by the way, probably couldn’t have spelled Hiroshima, but his decision to use the atomic bomb undeniably saved far more lives than it ended, both American and Japanese, and he was and is rightfully revered for that decision by Americans who understand history. (Note here, President Obama couldn’t bring himself to answer in this fashion when asked about the subject in Japan.) So the idea that Sarah Palin might not know who the President of Finland is does not change the fact that she took on her own political party on behalf of the citizens of her state. It will also never change the fact that she governed and advocated for her constituents as a matter of duty and responsibility, showing documented and tenacious executive leadership.

What I’m saying here, is that the Libs would have you focus on the stupid stuff that any schmuck could pull up on the Internet at the local Library rather than see the real attributes of a potential leader. This is the usual smear and scare tactic used when those on the left have no real argument.

An understanding of the concept that is a free society, as outlined in our founding documents, should always be a great start when we look for the Presidents of tomorrow. Follow this with tangible executive leadership experience and the ability to pick and build a team of knowledgeable and real world Cabinet members, and “We the People” have our best shot. We need only look to Ronald Reagan to see this model, and to Barack Obama to see it‘s opposite.

Governor Palin clearly has the basics. Stick a teleprompter in front of her and she makes this President look silly. Not that this is, or should be, the measure of a Presidency…  I’m simply pointing out that the current Administration seems at times to be out of their league for sure.

Message to the Liberal vampires out there; expect to be brought out into the light on this one. The political tide is changing and despite your best efforts, we will do battle in the arena of ideas.
