Is there anyone out there who is surprised that new home sales have plummeted with the sunset of the tax credit? Listen, this President made a lot of false promises and stuck a trailer load of Band-Aids on our many economic bullet wounds, and this is just the beginning of the end of the free ride. More wake up calls are on the way. I’m sorry to be just another bearer of bad news, but this is the price we pay as a nation when we allow celebrity, a fancy tongue and a lot of feel good BS into the White House. It will most certainly get worse before it gets better with health care, continued unemployment and debt issues looming on the horizon.

“Thats the rule, and President Lincoln would have wanted the area to be content neutral”… Thats what a Washington Park Police Officer said when asked why young children on a field trip were told they could not sing the “National Anthem” on their way up to the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Now I’m not quite sure how the “good officer” has been Channeling the 16th President, but what the hell is he talking about? I would suggest he do a little homework on Honest Abe and his steadfast patriotic spirit. Then he would understand that Lincoln would have more likely had him fired for stating such an abomination, and would then have written a speech about his fear that Americans were in danger of losing their Country if they could not reconcile foolish issues and statements like this.
Message to the Park Police, get your history straight folks before you go screwing up our next generation…

You see, this is the stuff that really gets “We the People” ticked off. As we ponder the issue of the mosque at “ground zero”, its First Amendment implications and its funding questions, we now hear Feisal Abdul Rauf, the Imam at the center of this nightmare is heading over to the Middle East, presumably to preach of good will and co-existence between our cultures. Really?
Is this the same guy who says we brought 9/11 on ourselves and who has yet to explain the “intricate” financial support network he is supposedly utilizing to ultimately fund the project. To make matters even worse, under a provision through the Educational and Cultural Affairs Bureau, this shady character is flying on our dime!
Regardless of the Constitutionality of any of this, at the end of the day I’m quite sure that it will be proven with a good degree of certainty that Feisal Abdul Raufand and his intentions are worth a much closer inspection by those charged with protecting the Homeland.

My inner struggle continues. And it is only aggravated when I read about people of faith, with true hearts and souls, reaching out to help their fellow man live a better life, who end up shot down in cold blood for their efforts, in some far away land of ruthless despots. So as my Pastor and others who do seem to care about what is left of my soul, attempt to restore my faith in humanity, I will continue my search for, and cherish the found bits and pieces of Gods goodness, all the while spreading them when and where I can.
I picked the poem below off my twitter account attached to this blog, and I think it says a lot about who those poor missionaries were. This is important as we all know and are familiar with the exploits of the monsters who murdered them. But I’m guessing the message here is one of peace, and the power of God to overcome what often seems insurmountable and evil beyond comprehension. I suppose he is truly the only one who can reconcile this for us (for me). Read this people, it is inspiring. I wanted to attach it to the previous entry, but I didn’t want it to be lost in my anger…

I have written much about our Military. It seems I’m always searching for the best way to pay tribute to them and to say that: “without the United States Military, there is no United States”. Without the all volunteer fighting force that carries the torch of freedom across the globe, we are idealistically dead. Without the caring Soldiers who carry aid and comfort to millions in need here and abroad, we are devoid of a national soul. Without recognizing every day, the sacrifices of the many who have given everything they were, and everything they would ever become, for a cause they felt greater than themselves, we are nothing.
In consideration of the current wars our men and women in uniform are facing, I am often left speechless and enraged when I hear terms like “collateral damage” and “rules of engagement”. I am stunned by the immeasurable violence the enemy we face is capable of http://www.foxnews.com/world/2010/08/07/medical-charity-americans-killed-militants-remote-area-n-afghanistan/, and how they inflict that brutality on the innocent with alarming regularity, while every round a U.S. Soldier fires is policed with the same intensity as a murder investigation on CSINY. And I am also bewildered to hear those devoid and ignorant of any notion having to do with real U.S. history and it’s “positive” influence in the world, pass judgement on our efforts and the sacrifices of our Military. An unwelcome bi-product of the (talking heads “New Media” age) I suppose.
As a “medicine” for my own selfish complacency at times, I find myself compelled to watch a video or two from my “You Tube” collection every day to remind myself of the great cost of freedom. And how there are real people, with real loved ones and friends, who will return to our shores in flag draped xxxxing boxes to the voices of crackpot media jackasses like CNN’s Christiane Amanpour singing the praises of the xxxxing Taliban.
Now you’all know I have done my level best to keep decorum on this blog and have resisted many attempts to bait me into the fight so many who know me fear, but man I have about had it. We are on the “Obama fast track” to destruction these days and it seems like all Washington can do is dig the hole deeper so that when our brave Soldiers return or their families are left to carry on without them, the Country won’t be worth a xxxxing lick any how. Adding insult to injury, our government is more concerned about hurting the feelings of the radical Islamofascist scumbags, when they should be focused on letting our warriors blow them back to the damn Stone Age they came from!!!
How I do hate going off the reservation like this, but when I look at these videos, I just lose it… I guess it is a good thing I’m not the POTUS…

Let me get this straight, the ACLU is now suggesting that VA police officers ignore a recent ruling by their boss (Attorney General Kenneth Cuccinelli), as “they” feel it has no legal foundation. The ruling simply states that as a matter of policy, AND while involved in an unrelated criminal investigation, AND if they have reason to believe someone is in this Country illegally, officers “may” inquire as to a person’s immigration status. Moreover, that inquiry could only lead to detainment for further investigation by “ICE”, the federal entity which is supposed to be enforcing immigration law.
The long standing practice by city, town and state police of enforcing all laws is well established. Therefore to even suggest that a law enforcement officer violate his oath in such a fashion, especially when your argument is rooted completely in race baiting, conjecture and an open borders philosophy, teeters on criminal itself.
The ACLU continues to demonstrate that it will only live up to its mission statement to defend the (Bill of Rights) when the battle is left of center and/or the cause is considered liberal/progressive. All others pay cash…

You all know my thoughts on gay marriage vs. civil Unions and quite honestly I’m just sick to death of repeating myself. That said, The California Catholic Conference (CCC) basically sums up my feelings and I think those of the majority based on polling data from across the Country.
“The historical record leaves no doubt … that the central purpose of marriage in virtually all societies and at all times has been to channel potentially procreative sexual relationships into enduring stable unions to increase the likelihood that any offspring will be raised by the man and woman who brought them into the world.
That the judge should find the marriage — civilizations’ longstanding public policy — irrational and discriminatory does a great injustice to the institution itself and ultimately will further encourage the disintegration of mother-father families.
Homosexuals certainly have every right to the love, companionship and support of another person — but the courts do not have a right to distort the meaning of marriage”.
Note: It is becoming ever more disturbing to witness the rate at which activist judges are overturning the will of “We the people”, in this case the over 7 million people who voted for Prop 8.

The departure of Christina Romer is just another signal that all is not well at the WH these days. It has been rumored that she is at odds with a number of Obama team players over the recession’s duration and its long term affects. She clearly had differences with the likes of Larry Summers and other key economic advisers to the President, making for some uncomfortable moments on the network Sunday shows. It is important to take note here folks as this type of “confusion” always leads to (shake ups) when the Presidents poll numbers are tanking. Heck, ya gotta blame somebody…
Meanwhile, The FLOTUS has jetted off to Spain on AF-2 with 40 or so of her closest friends and a boat load of Secret Service agents on the tax payers dime, (Despite what Robert “the talking head” Gibbs might tell us). “Do the math on that 757 you elitist ignoramus”. The POTUS however stayed behind and fired up AF-1 for a birthday bash with Oprah and the family dog. Go figure…
Is it me, or are these people just out to lunch? Record numbers of folks on food stamps, jobless claims hit their highest levels since June, and economists all over the Country fear a double dip recession. All I can think of is the scene from the movie “Animal House” when the ROTC dude, (Kevin Bacon) is screaming at the top of his lungs as he’s about to be stampeded by a panicked crowd, “ALL IS WELL!!!!”.
I warned you all this would get worse before it gets better and it’s certainly doing just that. Hang tough and keep up the fight. We simply have no other choice but to have our say at the polls when the time comes. Do it, and let us begin to wake from this socialist nightmare.

The “States” are beginning to come into their own by floating out the first challenges to this massive health care overhaul. This is interesting because there has been a lot of talk coming out of Washington recently about the federal government‘s authority in mandating all Americans have health insurance at the expense of fines and penalties. There has been even more discussion about the government over reaching in this regard and whether or not it is Constitutional. (NOT)!
So as Obama’s approval ratings prepare to head into the high 30’s, it is great to see this open resistance to an agenda that is sure to only further damage our weakened Nation. And I am truly encouraged to see Americans now pinning blame for a sputtering at best economy, stalemated “War on Terror”, and near 10% (real number more like 16-17% when those no longer looking for work are figured in) unemployment rate on this President and this Congress. And truth be told, I am downright ecstatic when I see the Obamabots (Beckle and company), out spouting the same old tired talking points about how things are “starting to come around” and the American People just aren’t buying it.

A Mosque in the shadow of “Ground Zero” is another step closer to reality with the recent decision coming out of the New York City Panel with jurisdiction over the permit process. There are some very simple observations here that will most certainly be a slap in the face to those who oppose it. But there may be a silver lining after all. I think those reporters and pundits who acknowledge the First Amendment aspects of this issue, but question the decency of the proposal as a “means to heal the wounds of 9/11” when so many clearly are against it, are right on the money. Bleive me, I would love nothing more than to drive to Manhattan, find (Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf), who has even implied on several occasions that we brought 9/11 on ourselves, and kick his lying ass clear across the North River to Jersey… That said, this situation represents an unwelcome but important and necessary part of our Republic. So what to do???
This is one of those pivotal moments when we must decide where the line is. WE MUST DECIDE how much of this is about the First Amendment and how much of it is political? And when we arrive at that answer, how much of that anger will we take to the polls in November so we may bring about the change we seek. Additionally, will the fact that the (Obama Administration Justice Department) is not yet even looking into reports that funding for the project is coming from sources with ties to state sponsored terrorism, motivate you as well? What I’m getting at here is that our weapons must be our ballots… We must send a message loud and clear that “We the People” are fed up with the current state of affairs overall, and more specifically, we certainly will oppose and not allow within our borders any religion that reverses generations of gains with regard to the rightful and just equality between men and women, and that as a matter of its core principles would justify rape, torture, subjugation or any other mistreatment of women. In the end, elections are truly how we show the rest of the world who we are and what we believe. Remember this day, and those like it when you go to vote.

It is so frustrating to hear the POTUS out there talking about how the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are going “as planned”, and about how his combat troop reductions are on schedule. Hmm, which schedule is the question? Would it be the one where he promised all troops out of Iraq by March of 08 and Gitmo closed by February of that same year? Look, I’m not debating the wars in this piece because I’m sure my position remains clear in that we must fight these “murderers of the innocent” on their soil and not ours. What I am saying is that this President has personified the stereotypical “I’ll say anything to get elected” and then renege when on the job politician. Barack Obama has left more (campaign Rhetoric) on the steps of the WH than any of his predecessors including the infamous peanut farmer, and now even some of the extremist nut job lefties are beginning to question if he has an ounce of integrity. Now there’s a statement… Most of those folks wouldn’t recognize integrity if it weighed 100 pounds and fell on their head.
Anyway, the idea that President Obama is singing the praises of the very military he and his kook friends “Harry ricochet Reid” and “Dick the turban Durbin” called losers and terrorists just a short time ago, is the height of hypocrisy. Our (Defenders of Freedom) are fighting and dying so this guy can BS about timetables that are not one iota different from those put forth by the Bush Administration. We can see through your missteps and uncomfortable attempts to be one with those the CIC is Constitutionally mandated to lead Mr. President. So do us all a favor and stick to your socialist, economic and societal agendas and let our Generals win this fight so “We the People” may be safer in the future.

The story of the day is immigration reform and it is certainly important and newsworthy. But I am reminded of another compelling, and equally if not more important story that can even be linked to the “illegal” immigration debate with relative ease of fact. With the approach of another 9/11 anniversary, the continuing threat of Muslim extremism in this Country has been largely relegated to the back burner of discussion. Personally, I continue to see this alarming perversion of the Muslim faith as the single greatest and immediate threat to the national security of the United States. Of all of the media and print on the matter, this video best describes this pressing issue, as it is brought to us via a devout Muslim who sees his faith being hijacked by a small but patient and determined enemy. I have been bouncing around on message a bit this past week trying to keep it all in perspective, but I picked up something on “Twitter” I’m not sure how I missed. Governor Chris Christie’s win in New Jersey was not only a political tidal wave in that state, but its effects were felt all the way to the WH. Now some months later we are really getting a chance to see what a politician should be doing in office, especially considering the times we live in. Please take a moment and watch this short video. It really cuts to the heart of the matter for me. Let us dispense with the pleasantries as we do not send our elected officials to Washington, or the State House to hone their “political correctness skills”. While today appears to be a lack luster news day, we need only look just beneath the pond scum for some very troubling tidbits. Not only does it appear that Charlie “the tuna” Rangel will receive a slap on the wrist from the so called “ethics investigators” looking into his tax “situation”, but it also seems as though his constituents are already preparing to give the criminal Congressman a pass for his “misdeeds”. This speaks to my concern that in November the die hard and misguided libs will turn out to vote for those who they know will gas up the gravy train, while subsequently absolving them of any felonious and/or otherwise less than honorable behavior.
Additionally, the buzz from sources close to the WH is that Amnesty is not far away, and that the POTUS is preparing an end run around a vacationing Congress to enact certain parts of his rumored “Immigration reform act”. This makes perfect sense considering recent events in Arizona. A full out Amnesty push would meet with certain death in Congress as the mood of the Country right now is clearly pro-border enforcement . This should come as no surprise however, when we look at the track record of this Administration governing against the will of the electorate.
Consequently, it is imperative that we remain focused on the end game as we prepare for an onslaught of left wing media spots trying to justify this crap. Do not be fooled. These people are not stupid and can see the storm coming. So as they pull out all the stops and push their agenda forward, while simultaneously attempting to reconcile it with the “Independents” who are the key to power in Washington, “We the People” must show up on Election Day and send them packing!

It seems a blow has been struck against the Constitution and the rule of law with Judge Bolton’s (compromise) decision today, which basically amounts to a political hand off to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. Well that may be true, but the story’s ending is yet to be determined. Sadly, I’m not sure what that ending might be. Two things are certain however, the first being that illegal aliens have been empowered and emboldened, and the second being that taxpaying law abiding citizens around the Country have been equally motivated, setting in motion events and an election cycle that won’t soon be forgotten.
Now while this is in an exciting proposition for a political junkie like myself, it is tempered by the very real possibility that America as we know it may be fading into the history books. As the father of an 8 year old, I am trouble beyond the normal parameters over how to explain the rock throwing and general thugary exhibited by those who mean to subvert the rule of law and then justify their deeds under the banner of Constitutionality. Moreover, their endeavors are somehow being re-enforced by activist judge’s intent on manipulating and contorting what is undoubtedly one of the simplest, effective and equitable means of government ever devised by humanity.
I’m sorry if this may sound racist to some as it is not my intention. Quite to the contrary I have always embraced the diversity that is America and how it sets us apart from other nations. We are who we are because of the cultural melting pot that is the United States. But when I see a person who is clearly in our Country illegally, flying my flag upside down and demanding rights under the Constitution that he/she is not entitled too, no matter what any 9th circuit activist judge may “rule”, I am pushed to the brink of what some would have you believe is intolerance. I fear that if we do change course (this November), not in 2012, it may be too late.
The feeling of trepidation I am experiencing is something I never could have imagined in our Country just 5 short years ago. I suppose in some way it may be a good thing that we vet these issues which may have been smoldering for some time. But make no mistake, and I think many of you harbor this same feeling down deep, failure to get it right on this and host of other pivotal issues of our day will relegate “We the People” to that page in history reserved for those who tried and failed to get it right when blessed with all the tools.
These are times of concern. Fate can shift on a single event and change the course of history. This is a time for Patriots of the highest allegiance to the principles that made this Country great. Can you see the writing on the wall??? Are you ready???

I find myself in the very unusual position of defending the POTUS. Trust me, if we are going to be at odds with the President there is and remains ample time and opportunity to engage. However, this flap over the Boy Scouts is a little much. The President has hosted the Boy Scouts on at least two occasions in the Oval Office and also sent a videotaped message of appreciation to the organization for the invite acknowledging its 100 years. He is in fact a politician and the busiest one in the world. Fundraising take precedence as it does with all creatures of Washington. Moreover, the idea that Obama will finally make it to “The View” should come as no surprise.
My prediction: Joy will wet her pants with excitement, Elizabeth will bang out sick and “Whoopi” might actually have some legitimate questions to ask him. I will be watching “Pacific” on my Blackberry… Zzzzz….

I think it’s important to differentiate between Democrats who have been ardent supporters of firearms rights and those who seek to hop on the bullet bandwagon for the November 2010 cycle. It is also important to remember that the vast majority of these folks are anti-gun and would like nothing short of a firearm free America. The only problem is we would then be seen by our government as “subjects” not citizens, (not that we aren’t already). Now while the notion of Democrats embracing firearms is intriguing, I simply do not have the energy today to debate the reasons why “gun control” never equals crime control…

With 100 days left until the midterm elections there are lots of unknowns. So let’s see if we can break it down a bit. Obviously, there is voter discontent on a number of levels. It’s seems mostly directed at incumbents and harshly critical of the governments over reaching in many areas like taxes, healthcare and deficit spending. Politicians who ignore these facts do so at their peril. That said, it should not be taken for granted that the left has been very vocal about President Obama having reneged on much of his campaign rhetoric. I say this because the Country appears poised to regroup and return to its conservative principles, making it the Republicans election to lose.
My observations have been pretty much spot on in recent past in that many Americans were lulled into the notion of packaged and sugar coated change, and have now finally figured out what that change actually constitutes. Consequently, they are anxious to show this Administration and Congress the door. This is all well and good and would actually give me hope for the future of our great Republic. But “We the People” can be a fickle bunch and we are now laser focused on any alternatives. Simply put, we don’t want to make another major mistake!
Appropriately, two things come to mind. Firstly, any politician looking for a free ride might as well turn tail and head home as we can smell you coming. Second, Conservatives must go to the polls in record numbers to achieve what it is we seek, as our opponents will do the same. These rejects have experienced the brass ring and will do whatever they must to maintain their current grip on power. Remember, the “progressive and ultra liberal left” is alive and well in America. They mean to change this Country into something we will not recognize in 10 years. “We the silent majority” must stop them at all costs, for the future of our kids and of the world.

Tolerance, hate, acceptance, and bigotry, all words not unique, but bandied about like a well played soccer ball by the so called scholars of our time. I have written about many things left and right, always searching for the appropriate phraseology in the hopes of making that lasting and learned point on the human condition that everyone could take to heart and maybe even apply to their own lives. Admittedly those words singularly or collectively, have remained elusive though not just for me it seems judging by the social climate of today. So for the purposes of self torture I’m gonna dive in again and give it yet another go.
I recently exchanged some email with the Pastor of my wife’s Church in which he described a recent rally at the Rhode Island State House by area Christians in support of marriage, marriage between a man and a woman that is. I understand that not unlike a number of other states, the RI Legislature is poised to consider gay or same sex marriage as law. Now before we go any further, I should qualify my remarks so there is no confusion about who I am or what I believe. I am non-practicing or “recovering Catholic” as I like to call myself, who believes that “marriage” is an institution and defined by the union of man and women for the purposes of creating a family unit and procreation. Simplistic I know, but I refuse to over complicate what is definitive and framed by pointed and obvious “physical considerations”. Moreover, I know what is in my heart and I simply won’t overstep my knowledge barrier when comes to matters of religion. That said, I am not necessarily opposed to legislation addressing the civil/legal bond of any two persons for the same purpose. Obviously to be achieved in a different fashion, but nonetheless being sanctioned by the state body and rendering the full weight of the rule of law for the purpose of such things as shared living costs, health care, and all matters of will and trust. I believe however, that there is a difference between the two and that for the state to recognize a gay or same sex civil union as somehow the equivalent of “marriage” as defined by that state, our factual Judeo/Christian heritage, and the simple and obvious laws of nature, would be wrong. Here in lies the fight.
Now I am willing to debate this with any right minded individual, intellectual, or every day Joe like myself until I’m blue in the face or simply fall asleep from boring myself. But what I witnessed on the attachment video to the email was not a flattering reflection of our Republic under law. It was not a “civil” exchange of ideas with compassion, compromise and understanding as objectives. It was not two sides coming forward to help one better understand the other. It was a coalition of Christians from all walks of life peacefully expressing their heartfelt beliefs with the hope of influencing the political tide as is their right, being shouted down and taunted by a bunch of folks who clearly had an agenda only to agitate and provoke anyone within intimidation range into a confrontation.
This is where the dilemma for me exists. I was actually asked to attend this rally and could not because of work obligations, though aside from the video clip I have spoken to a number of friends who attended and who basically corroborated what I witnessed on the media video. We have somehow come to place in this Country where your disagreement with the Progressive left on any and all matters is quickly portrayed as bigotry, intolerance and hate.This is unfortunate on a number of levels and many times intimidates folks forcing them out of the debate for fear they will be “labeled” as something they are not. It is becoming more and more apparent that this is exactly the motivation of the lunatic fringe of some within the gay activist coalitions.
Now while this may sound a bit cliché, I have gay friends and though we don’t often have this discussion we do occasionally talk about the issue and share our political and personal thoughts. Sometimes we disagree, but other times during the course of a “civil” discussion we actually share the opinion that no person should have rights above another regardless of their sexual orientation, or anything else for that matter. On this Constitutional principal we should all agree! My point is that the discussion must be free of the very thing I witnessed on that tape. Free from the intimidation tactics, the “in your face” mentality of those who seek only chaos and confrontation, and the downright nasty disposition of any ignorant punk who would ask a 7 year old, already shaken by what he/she was witness too, if their parents were raising them as little bigots.
To be frank people, there is no excuse for this kind of behavior. After watching additional footage of the rally, some of it was clearly harassment and damn near illegal. When your rights infringe on those of another’s, you are entering the realm of potential criminal oversight by a court of law, and this former Correctional/Police Officer and current Crime Prevention Officer might have detained a number of folks in that court yard.
I’m very sure this discussion could blossom into an hour’s long debate that might necessitate a larger venue and some refreshments as well, and I’m always game for good coffee and eats. But my larger point seems to be sharpening with time and writing so I’ll wrap up before it escapes the trappings of my distracted thought process. The Constitution of The United States should never be usurped or “dulled” to be un-inclusive. But common sense, good judgment, and decency were always in the minds of those who wrote it and these values must remain constants moving forward. Moreover, this Country’s undeniable religious and freedom based foundations must be part of any “discussion” involving the First Amendment and/or a person’s civil rights.
It should be obvious to any who will admit it, that to act in the manner in which I saw many supporting same sex marriage acting in that video, only serves to fuel the fires of hate and bigotry, not douse them. To shout down those in quiet and legitimate protest (with permit) only hardens the souls of those who oppose you, and frightens those who don’t understand but who might otherwise be sympathetic to your cause. And finally, to intimidate and/or attempt to bully a child for any reason makes you not my equal with a different opinion or point of view, but rather my enemy and a dangerous partisan who must be defeated regardless of the validity of the argument you bring to the table.

When I look at John Kerry the citizen, I am empathetic and understanding of the notion that taxes are oppressive and prohibitive in many instances (especially in his home state of Massachusetts). In contrast, when I look at John Kerry the blow hard “do as I say not as I do” politician, (BTW, did you know he served in Vietnam?) try to explain away parking his “boat” in a Newport Rhode Island Marina, I want to vomit. Additionally, we here in the Ocean State have the added “pleasure” of listening to Sheldon Whitehouse pontificate about how Rhode Island needs John Kerry’s business, and how he’s waiting on the Good Senator from MA to invite him sailing. I’m just not sure I could contain myself in a room with this individual, or frankly anyone who actually cast a vote for him.
Look, no one should fault Kerry for wanting to save several hundred thousand dollars in excise and other taxes, but it just leaves an awful taste in our mouths when we hear him and other Liberal Politicians bloviating about how “We the People” need to tighten our belts, suck it up and get ready for an onslaught of new taxes coming down the pike to pay for the current government spending spree.
It is truly time for change folks, and the good people of MA have already spoken loudly about their desire to be represented by someone who can actually relate to them. In the case of this elitist, I think it’s time for them to do it again.

What can ya’ say about good old Charlie Rangel? I mean come on people, does it come as any surprise that this guy is an ethics nightmare? When Nancy Pelosi referred to “cleaning up the swamp that was Congress” before her sanctimonious arrival, and touted the “culture of corruption” as the opposing party’s signature, it seems she was and remains a bit confused. And judging by Congressional approval ratings, currently the lowest since they started keeping track, it does nothing but get worse for the Dems.
Some of you may recall back on election eve, and then again when they gave this Botox blowhard the coveted gavel, that I wrote something to the affect of: “this Congress and White House would be remembered as one of, if not the most corrupt and inept bunch of armatures ever to march into Washington”. Right again “Patriot64”.
As a side note, a friend sent some interesting bits she picked up on the network shuffle. The first I found interesting. “We should treat our news stories like food. Never swallow anything you have not chewed on thoroughly”. The second one she said reminds her of me. “All through his journalistic career, he afflicted the comfortable”. Hmmm…, I resemble that remark.

We now see the Presidents poll numbers on the slide to the low 40′s. And this is a Quinnipiac look at the numbers, so there is no “right wing slant”. Ironically though we are still hearing the “Bush” answer every time a media type asks the question of one of the Obama folks, “so can you explain the Presidents falling poll numbers”? “Well we inherited quite a mess ya know”… What the heck is the expiration date on that response?
Simply put, NEVER! The Obama Administration has placed their collective hope on the notion that “We the People” will be stupid enough to absolve them of any responsibility for anything. The problem is that “We the People” are paying attention unlike any time in recent memory, and we see a failed stimulus that cost taxpayers close to $850,000,000,000.00. Additionally, government takeovers and intrusions coupled with the gang that couldn’t shoot straight running wild at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, have shaken the very foundations of this Country as they have not been shaken in 235 or so years.
There is good news however, and it is that Americans are running back to their flag in heartening numbers. And the November elections, while no one can predict accurately how they will go, are certainly going to be a wake up call for Washington elitists. I say this because I want to be clear about what I think is happening and not happening. “We the People” are clearly jerked, but neither major party seems to be running with that football with any convincing arguments to date. This will definitely affect the National elections of 2010 and it will be nothing short of amazing to watch it all play out when you throw in the “Tea Party” factor. Having said that, I am hopeful that this combination of political ingredients will ultimately benefit us, at least to the point that we make begin the long road away from the socialist experiment of the “Obama years” and get back on the road to what made this Nation great.

We all make mistakes and Fox News is no different. But boy does this expose the bias in the main stream media over all. Let’s see if I can recap. 1. Fox and O’Reilly jump on the Shirley Sherrod story without doing their due diligence and get caught with their collective drawers down. 2. The White House “brain trust” move ahead, (also without reading the entire transcript) and fire the women fearing that Beck will rip them a new one that night on national television. 3. All three networks jump on Fox and bang away at O’Reilly and company with Chris (the jack ass) Mathews leading the charge. 4. Now we get the (entire/entire) transcript and hear this bigot refer to having taken the individual in question to a lawyer of “his own kind”.
Make no mistake people, when you hear the rest of the story of Ms. Sherrod, it will be clear to anyone with thinking ability that she is the epitome of what I call a “protected racist”. This is someone who, under the cover of the double standard, has been given a pass by the main stream media every time she says what’s “really” on her mind.
Note here people, ya gotta do your homework… If we are gonna debate this stuff, we need to have our facts straight. After closely reviewing the (entire tape), my observation is that Sherrod is as much the racist as portrayed, but just doesn’t know it… Hey Bill, can I come on (The Factor)?

I really do think it’s fair to say that the POTUS and his family deserve a little R&R, especially the little ones. But come on, who is doing the PR for this guy. The Gulf Coast is in the throes of a calamity unlike we have faced in some time, and The President of the United States could not find a Gulf Coast vacation spot to show a little solidarity with the folks struggling to preserve what’s left of their lives and livelihoods?
The problem here seems to be that the arrogance that is liberal America today, knows no boundaries, and no empathy. I’m not sure what to think lately, but it is getting harder and harder to ignore the fact that this President doesn’t seem to give a hoot about anything but his agenda to reshape our Country, whether we like it or not…

Anyway, have you all heard about the “Bible warning” art in a Sacramento County Public Law Library? Well it seems the library refuses to take down an exhibit that depicts the Bible with a warning label which says “Warning: May Impair Judgment.” Now one could argue that hey, it’s a First Amendment issue. But what does it say about injecting a clearly one sided argument into a “law library” that should be promoting unbiased analysis, legal review, Constitutional application and fair judgment. Save that stuff for the art gallery, no??
Look I always tag this stuff with the fact that I am certainly not a religious authority, but I do consider myself a Constitutional authority. And this kind of crap is simply another play to rid our Nation of all things religious, as socialism cannot flourish where God lives…

The double standard application of this term is nothing short of astounding as usual. Moreover, my hair stands on end when I listen to the Sharpton’s, and even media hogs like Rivera go in front of the cameras to try to explain it away. While it is elementary to understand that radical fools will attempt to sneak in the back door of any organization, and to condemn these less than honorable antagonists is as elementary and a necessary component to mainstream success, to say that the an organization like “The Tea Party” is somehow racist because of a few nut jobs in the fold, is akin to calling the entire Democratic Party communist because of the views of Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) regarding off shore drilling.
As a matter of simple fairness, I would ask that folks turn on their laptops and do a little homework. Google up “The Tea Party” and have a look at some of the coverage, who is doing the covering, and some of the far reaching accusations intended to marginalize an organization with Constitutionalism and fairness at its core. Then go over and do the same for the recent speech by the clearly racially charged and race bating head of the NAACP, Ben Jealous. At that point send me some email, (honest email) with your thoughts about who the “racists” actually are…
Look, I really think there are powers on the left out there that may not necessarily have racism in their hearts, but do see it as a means to take the focus off of the lethal path we are on as a Nation. That said, when you mix in those who clearly are interested in nothing but racial confrontation (Jealous), it is easy to see the distraction and its intended/unintended consequences.
This is no doubt a serious argument with real and dangerous potential to add to our already bruised sense of self worth as a Country. So I am inclined to ask Fox News and other media outlets let the Geraldo’s and Sharpton’s of this Country go stand on a their soap boxes in the street and spew their foolishness, as they do nothing but inflame an already burning controversy. I would also ask this so called “Post Racial President” to give us his thoughts on the issue and possibly inject some appropriate perspective. Fat chance, there will be no “beer summit” for this one.

I’m home Folks, and not a minute too soon. So I’m just gonna dive right into what is a menagerie of topics that beg our attention and start with this one that is near and dear to my heart. I’m sure you all remember the controversy over my “Lights out in Minnesota” piece that made it to the papers in Minnesota. I caused a bit of a stir when I called into question the stability of those who wasted their vote on that reject Al Franken. Well now it seems that after all the votes are counted, Franken won the seat by less than the amount of ineligible convicted felons voting in the 2008 election. Now doesn’t that just beat all? Not only did millions of misguided Minnesota voters place the future of their children in the hands of “Stewart Smalley”, but the jackass ended up getting the job by cheating. The truly sad part is the election is now certified and nothing can be done. Notwithstanding the above, this Patriot will continue to view Mr. Franken as illegitimate and a blemish on “The Peoples House”.

I know that I put out a lot of stuff on this blog as a means to help you see our enemy, and I know “most” of you all “get it”, but some things can never be reinforced enough. Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani was convicted of “adultery” in 2006 in Iran and is currently awaiting “death by stoning”. Now despite the fact that this “crime” is punishable only by lengthy and costly civil court battles that make for good T.V. if they involve celebs here in the States, even one of the biggest libs in Congress was inclined to call this crap what it is. John Kerry, D-Mass., called the execution method “appalling” and “barbaric”, and called on Iran to join the rest of the civilized world by abolishing it as a judicial option. Once again the face of our enemy can be seen clearly as a reflection of their brutal and sadistic approach to the human condition. These people should be immediately removed from power by the good and freedom seeking peoples of Iran, by force if necessary before one more life is taken in the name of this lunacy they call a religion.

I’m sorry, but I fail to see the correlation between a verdict handed down by a sitting jury, and busting out the window of a department store so you may take things that don’t belong to you. Maybe it’s me, but isn’t this just an excuse for the criminal element to take advantage of the moment, ultimately giving socially retarded and antagonistic folks like Sharpton and Jackson a platform to justify it as “racial anxiety” of some sort.
These are the embarrassing moments in our Nation when it should be obvious that exploitation and politicking replace common sense and good judgment. While the now infamous train station shooting of an unarmed man is tragic, this behavior clearly does not help and is unacceptable. Those responsible for the recent mayhem that has damaged businesses and affected the income and well being of law abiding citizens in the Oakland area should be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, not because and regardless of the color of their skin, but rather and simply because they are criminals. It should come as no surprise that Assistant U.S. Attorney General Tony West will lead the charge in Federal Court against the State of Arizona. Mr. West gained notoriety as a member of the “Gitmo Nine” who defended American Taliban John Walker Lindh and other notable / infamous Islamofascists, and who most certainly must have caught the eye of our current POTUS as at the very least, a sympathizer to the globalist progressive movement.
As a side bar, if Governor Brewer and the good folks over at the Arizona State Legislature have accomplished anything, it would be that we are all now legitimately and appropriately focused on the ever growing problem of illegal immigration. In fact, it may not be a total lost cause as there remain a number of glitches for the prosecution, not the least of which is the Federal Governments total failure to enforce the very laws they claim to represent exclusively. Moreover, politicians like Governor Rick Perry need to hold fast to their support of Brewer and the rule of law. This will definitely be a national debacle for the Democrats in November.

As the “Health Care Law” has taken a back seat to the tragedy in the gulf and the current economic woes of the Country, we now learn of the recess appointment of Donald Berwick to head up Medicaid. The President absolutely needed to circumvent “We the People” as well as the entire process to get this guy in the door. A staunch advocate of the British Health Care application, Berwick supports “rationing” as a means to an “end”, literally.
Now while it is altogether proper that we focus on the events of the day, please be sure to keep an eye to the future implementation of this nightmare legislation turned law for our Country, and be aware of those sympathetic to the cause of Obama regarding health care. The law (as passed) will be a travesty for The United States and could in fact cripple our Country beyond its ability to recover within a generation or more. Mr. Berwick will certainly play a role in this saga…

So now the President wants NASA Chief Charles Bolden to bring the “Muslim world” into the fold of space exploration. In what they deny is a diplomatic mission, Bolden is in Cairo marking the anniversary of Obama’s famed speech to the Muslim people one year ago. Bolden is quoted as saying the President believes that no longer should one nation go beyond lower atmosphere alone, and that we should include Muslim nations so they may “feel good” about their own contributions to the math and science disciplines.
Well ok Mr. President, while on its face your overture seems well intentioned, it should be noted that there are Muslim “governments” around the globe that are currently laser focused on matters of religion and regional stability (the Sharia way), and whether directly or indirectly, are attempting to influence events in the Middle East.
Now this may sound a bit simplistic, but should we not be putting our efforts into finishing the business at hand before we delve into the world of information sharing with countries whose intentions are very much unclear at this point? Moreover, will it continue to be the SOP of this Administration to eradicate any and all trace of American exceptionalism and competitive creativity from the world stage?
The actions of this POTUS leave little doubt about his ideological motivations, and how they often contradict much of what is said in front of the cameras.

I form a detail today to say goodbye to a fellow Officer and a friend. I have witnessed yet another life lost too soon to the ravages of cancer. This disease in all its forms, has taken family and friends from me and it never gets easier to watch. So if you would, on this Independence Day, remember Army Master Sergeant Retired / Public Safety Officer Anthony “Skip” Kouis for me, and donate whatever you can to the cancer charity of your choice. This is a battle we simply must fight, for our sake, and for all those we hold dear.

Now that the Supreme Court has justly upheld an individual’s right to have a firearm in their home in Chicago, and as could have been predicted at the onset, the city’s Constitutionally corrupt mayor Dick Daley, along with his band of liberal merry “aldermen”, have slapped a host of restrictive and obviously defiant ordinances on the beleaguered and law abiding citizens of Chicago. These “ordinances” have been carefully thought out and designed purely as a means to discourage firearms ownership. I think it’s fair to say that this guy’s obsession with fighting the NRA is border line kooky, and that he really does believe his own press release BS.
Note to Daley: What you have is crime problem you Idiot, not a gun problem. Moreover, if you continue to tax and encumber the law abiding folks as opposed to confronting, prosecuting and punishing the criminal element in your city, two things are certain. One is that by way of any senseless and expensive litigation brought, you will eventually alienate enough good people to vote you out of office, God willing. The second, is that more innocent folks will be raped, robbed and even killed while you pursue your ill informed, misguided, and clearly unconstitutional approach to crime fighting in your city. What a buffoon…

The President used the expression “kick the can down the road” in his speech today, and while I can certainly agree with him on the notion that immigration reform has been handed down from one President to the next, I would have to say that the phrase that better describes Mr. Obama is “pass the buck”. All this guy said today is what he always says: I have all the answers just submit. Well sorry President Obama, that’s not good enough. And by the way, the idea that states and their citizenry who are in the cross hairs of Mexican drug cartels, and Jihadist operatives on our Southern Border are somehow doing a bad thing by enforcing border laws that are the responsibility of the Federal Government (that’s you), is disingenuous at the very least.
So if this POTUS wants immigration reform, he would do well to put away the Teleprompter and park the fancy dialog, “roll up those sleeves” and get serious about protecting “We the People”.

How is it that when in the course of our most sacred duty as Americans (voting), it is somehow acceptable that we be intimidated and harassed at a polling place by the likes of Black Panthers Minister King Samir Shabazz, Malik Zulu Shabazz and Jerry Jackson. I’m sure most of you all remember this incident in Philly which clearly looked like an open and shut case of physical intimidation bordering on federal law and civil rights violations. Ah, but our current Attorney General apparently does not see it that way. Put aside the fact that the parties in question were dressed in the familiar 60’s panther garb so as to invoke a certain “nostalgia” and were obviously carrying weapons in plain sight as well. Forget that they were directly in front of the polling station brandishing those weapons, and don’t read anything into some of the intimidating and confrontational comments and verbal confrontations that were recorded at the scene. But put a Christian Coalition representative out there with a Bible, and they would have shipped his ass off to the slammer in a New York second…
Eric Holder is an ideology driven political hack, educated in the model of Clinton and steadfast in his manipulative view of our sacred Constitution and the rule of law. His decision in the Philadelphia case should be proof positive of his intention to distribute “unequal” justice with questionable qualifiers. Moreover, his recent “opinions” on matters like the Second Amendment, in spite of not only it’s obvious original intent as written, but of the unquestionable evidence against every single one of his anti gun arguments, tell us that his remaining time as AG will be a horror show of misrepresentations, misinterpretations, and downright a disregard for the law at our expense.

So the Tea Party Movement is “uneducated and dangerous” according to Sheryl Crow. Man, why is that so many of the artists whose music I like are dumb as rocks. I mean this girl could not find her way out of a paper bag with two hands and a flashlight. Would someone give her a copy of the Constitution and send her to the play room with her new little one. Maybe she can study up in time so as to not create another progressive “no mind” in innocent little “Levi”.

It’s no secret how I feel about Al Franken, and I’ve written about those feelings numerous times. I’ve also received countless emails from the good folks over in Minnesota both in support of some of my (op-eds) that made it out there, and against. However, can we take just one more look at this bumpkin, please?
By some amazing coincidence and/or the grace of something other than God, this entertainer turned politician, (now there’s something new) managed to win/cheat his way into the seat of a United States Senator. He is now currently sitting on the committee that will decide whether or not Elena Kagan will get a full Senate vote to become nothing short of an Associate Supreme Court Justice. You would think that the idiot could at least be awake for the process. Amazingly, when he was awake, he was drawing doodle sketches of Senator Sessions.
If you were wondering why things are so convoluted up on Capital Hill, and why Congressional approval ratings are in the teens and twenties, wonder no more.
This guy is a jack ass, plain and simple, and he is doing the business of “We the People”. God help us, please…

If nothing else, the current VP does allow for some entertainment value, except this latest little # 2 blurb turned out to be very revealing. When Vice President Biden decided to visit an ice cream parlor recently, he got more than he bargained for when he asked the manager what he owed for his frozen delight. To his credit, the manager basically told Biden to lower his taxes and he’d call it even, to which the second in command called him a smart ass.
Now we must move passed that remark as we have already established that this Administration are nothing but a bunch of elitist jackasses with very thin skins. Having said this however, Americans in greater numbers every day are speaking their minds. (I love it!!) Biden, who later apologized for being a twit even admitted there “was no way” they’d be able to replace the 8 million lost jobs. Well halleluiah, I guess they are tired of trying to hide the results of their abysmal stimulus failure.
The bottom line is that even the G-20 Summit crowd told the President flat out. “You wanna drive your country into an unrecoverable black hole of deficit spending, go right ahead>>>> just leave us out of it”!

Some thoughts about the race…
_ I remain in awe of the power of 850 HP x 43 going by me at 175 MPH.
¬_The prep and drive, while taxing, are worth it.
_The older my son gets, the more he enjoys it.
_The price for a hat is what??
_When you see the drivers up close, they look like everyone else.
_My wife confirmed my son’s assertion that Kevin Harvick did in fact respond with a wave to his screaming and jumping and waving. I missed it.
_There are some women who should seriously reconsider their mode of dress when in public… Boy am I gonna catch it for that crack…
_It is difficult to hear today, but the good news is the rubber is out of my hair.
_My wife did get her “I wear the fire suit in this family” T-shirt,,, Oh brother…
_While I am not a big fan of Jimmy Johnson, he did drive down to our spot in front of his pits to do his burn out, totally pissing off a couple of hecklers who had been giving Chad the bird,,, smoked the idiots right out, (and us). It was classic NASCAR,
_And finally, a great time was had by all. Congrats to the #48 team for another masterful win, and like wise to Kevin and Team #29 for a great finish and holding the points lead. We’ll do it again next year God willing…

There is something about stock car racing that is just so American, (Despite the presence of ToyotaL). The entire experience speaks to freedom and the American spirit. The anticipation of seeing our favorite drivers, the spectacle of the race itself, and the unique inner satisfaction that comes from knowing the phrase “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” truly means something in this Country, culminate in an inexplicable albeit exhilarating feeling of excitement.
NASCAR and local stock car racing remain a constant for me and are a physical and emotional retreat from the trials of my life. God willing, they will remain the spirited and patriotic organization I have lived most of life enjoying… Off to NHIS…

Throughout the annals of history, war has been waged. Debate over its legitimacy in any event will forever be a reality. One thing is certain however, and that is with the onset of war, its swift and decisive conclusion cannot come soon enough. Having said this, and in consideration of the conflicts in which our Nation is currently engaged, our soldiers must not be restrained and or prohibited from carrying out their respective duties as planned, and in the manner in which they have been trained to do so. Their entire thought process must be focused entirely on victory within an appropriate “MILITARY” framework, which in no way hog ties their response to attack so some spineless civilian politician can pander to his/her particular progressive/socialist constituency. This kind of meddling by the powers that be in Washington is counter productive and serves only two purposes: To lengthen the war causing additional military and civilian casualties on both sides, as well as put many of our Soldiers in harms way unnecessarily.
I know many of my detractors will misrepresent this next thought, but in war there will always be “collateral” damage, no matter how good the plan or how smart the bomb. The blame for this however, must always fall to the enemies of freedom who would place their own as human shields or strap them with explosives to make their case. The Taliban and Al Qaeda have chosen the time and we have chosen the place. Mr. President, please allow your Generals and war fighters to do their jobs or else bring our Soldiers home now. We send the Armed Forces to fight, let them fight, so they may finish and come home to their families. This is the true and just measure of a real Commander in Chief.

It should come as no surprise to anyone paying attention that the Obama administration has every intention of pursuing amnesty for illegal’s, and worse yet, will eventually espouse their support for relaxed border restrictions. If we look at some of the recent initiatives by this bunch, it’s all but obvious that in most cases the campaign rhetoric was a clever cover for their real intentions. Now we should not ignore the many other instances where “Candidate” Obama very clearly articulated his intentions, but those intentions were hazed and sugar glazed by the “politically correct feelings” of ecstasy many independents felt at the thought of this man becoming President, but this is a discussion unto itself and for another day.
Getting back to the illegal’s, the Administrations nomination of Former Houston Police Chief Harold Hurtt as Immigration Director should say it all. How will there ever be productive dialog with a man who so vehemently opposes any sort of meaningful enforcement of the current immigration laws, and has not displayed even a basic acceptance of U.S. Sovereignty and the secure borders necessary to keep it that way. This will just be another exercise in futility. Exactly!
